God’s Handiwork

Bible in a Year :

How majestic is your name in all the earth.

Psalm 8:1

On July 12, 2022, scientists awaited the first images of deepest space from the new James Webb Space Telescope. The state-of-the-art telescope can look farther into the universe than mankind has ever looked before. Suddenly a breathtaking image emerges: a color space-scape of the Carina Nebula, never before seen like this. One NASA astronomer quoted Carl Sagan, a noted atheist: “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting.”

Sometimes people can look God in the eye and not see Him. But the psalmist David looked into the sky and knew exactly what he was seeing: “You have set your glory in the heavens” (Psalm 8:1). Sagan was right in saying that “something incredible is waiting,” but he failed to acknowledge what David clearly perceived: “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them” (vv. 3-4).

When we see images of deepest space, we’re amazed, not so much because of technology, but because we’re witnessing the handiwork of God. We marvel because in the vastness of creation, God has made us “rulers over the works of [his] hands” (v. 6).  Indeed, “something incredible is waiting”—God, waiting to bring believers in Jesus to Him when He returns. That’s the most breathtaking image of all.

Reflect & Pray

What thoughts do you have as you look at images of deep space? How do you experience God in them?

Creator God, I’m amazed at the glory of the heavens and the beauty of Your handiwork. Thank You for caring for me in the midst of Your wondrous creation!

Good evening, Mooch...uplifting is something we need these days.
Glad you enjoy them.

Is spring going well? My snow is ALL gone and the yards are turning green!

Indeed. The Goose is a favorite among those of us who watch the cam regularly, and we’ve been waiting for him to break it out of the hangar and take off from the lake. Fortunately, a cam op was on hand to catch the takeoff. No cam ops around when it landed later on. :-(

The wind sure has picked up the past few hours. The water is really choppy now.

I think you’re about as ready for the wind to slow down as I am. I don’t mind a mild cooling breeze, but dang! When it causes one of the doors to slam shut when blowing through the house, that’s quite another. LOL!

I’m VERY ready for it to die down. A little breeze feels nice but it’s been flat out windy for over a week.
There’ll probably be no wind early next week when we’ll want some. Temps will be around 90 then.

It IS beautiful outside right now. I’ll drag my chair out this weekend and get it cleaned up so I can sit out there and enjoy the sun. And next week will be the yard clean up.

I just have to get past the delivery of my new, fully functioning fridge on Friday. I’ve been working on getting a widened path made..moving boxes around, etc. I decided to keep the old one in the garage, just in case. My problem now is where do I put the stuff that’s in the fridge now. I think it will just go on the counter. The frozen stuff will go downstairs and hope it fits in the big freezer. Oh well...it will work one way or the other. And it can’t take that long to get it installed. and stuff back in it.

So far the gusts aren’t bad and are short, but the sky is clouding up.

Yep, time to get that chair cleaned up and out there so you can enjoy the nice weather you’ve waited do long for.

Sounds like it’ll be busy there for a dew days. Getting the yard cleaned up and you found a new fridge at last. Yay!
I take it you don’t have any coolers you can put the refrigerated stuff in to keep it cold? It’ll take a little while for the new fridge to get cold after they get it set up.

Yeah, unfortunately there’s a large bank of clouds moving in from the west. At least you had a couple of nice days before this mess decided to move in.

You’ll be at 90? You’re lucky. Sunday and Monday they are predicting 102 here. I am already dyyyyying just thinking about it being that hot. Summer can just go away. Already. 🤣

They say it’ll be close, if not actually hit 90 next Tuesday. There are 3 days we’ll be close to it. Then rain comes in and it’ll back off a little again.

Dang!! 102???? It’s waaaaaay too early for that!! I feel for ya, and for your poor kitties. That’s gonna be rough!

Time for me to head out and start getting things done so I can go to bed. Republican women’s meeting tomorrow and I have to get up early. Have a good rest of the night. Catch ya tomorrow.

Have fun at the R Ladies’ Meeting!

Your 90 with your humidity added will probably feel a whole lot like our 102. Indeed, the kitties won’t be pleased. They will have plenty of cool water and we have big shady trees in the back should they choose to take advantage of them.

I will take another cruise around the garage, but I don’t think I’ve seen
any coolers.

John Rich Interviews Vaccine Injured Veteran!

John Rich interviews a former sniper who was injured by Covid vaccine & forced to retire early. Senator Ferrel Haile of TN supported employer mandates on employees, & Chris Spencer is running to defeat him in 2024, District 18. VOTE SPENCER!

Contact every member of Congress at 1-202-224-3121 (switchboard). Note the US Congress has done NOTHING to shut down these poison jabs. That, IMO, makes them culpable for these Crimes Against Humanity!!

Be sure to read all the comments below the video.

“Talk to my nephew. Young Marine who ended up with heart trouble after having to take the Vaccine. He wanted to be a Marine for his whole life. Now he works at target. He’s 21, this stupid vaccine changed his whole life.”

“My husband’s cousin also was forced to take it. It nearly killed him. He is so close to retirement he didn’t want to quit without getting his benefits. Sickening what our government has done.”

❓Ready For This Truth 💣❓

https://x.com/Red_Pill_US/status/1790212048800059785?t=Ct26_z4V7RP4bQp2IVnE2Q

“Why is there a war for every generation of men? Why?

Because they want to cull the strongest, most patriotic men by lying to them about going over and saving freedom and democracy and getting a bunch of them killed.

Because they know those are the most hardcore, patriotic, testosterone-filled males. And they don’t want those people to live on, because eventually those people notice what the f*ck is going on here and they have a revolution.

So that’s why there’s a war every generation of men for almost everybody.” 🤔
