Many of the anti-Israel protesters at Columbia and other college campuses are dwelling in cushy tents on the quad. These tents look pretty modern and uniform; one could only wonder who is paying for all this? In 1754, an advertisement for Columbia (then known as King’s College), promised, “The chief thing that is aimed at in this college is to teach and engage children to know God in Jesus Christ.” How far Columbia et al have strayed from the Christian faith that gave them birth.

An Iranian official says according to the available data about 95 percent of abortions in the country are carried out through "illegal" procedures. Saleh Ghasemi, head of the Center for Strategic Research on Population, said on Thursday that abortion is one of the most effective variables in population growth, adding that "Only three percent of abortions [in Iran] are legal, and two percent of abortions are spontaneous." He also said that only four percent of abortions happen due to what he called "illegitimate relations". The ban on abortion in Iran has made women go to underground and often unsanitary centers...

SH 36 in Temple has been reopened after a nearly 350,000-pound distillation column fell off the back of a semi-truck and onto a car Saturday morning, killing two people and sending one to the hospital in critical condition, according to the City of Temple. The column pinned the vehicle underneath after it was detached from the semi-truck and took a coordinated effort from several different departments to remove it, Temple Fire and Rescue Public Information Office Santos Soto said. "That load was bigger than anything that we had equipment for and we worked with several different agencies to get several...

ST. LOUIS, Saturday, April 30. Advices from Camden, Arkansas, say that Gen. STEELE's army is there. Gen. THAYER joined Gen. STEELE at Elkin's Ferry, on the Little Missouri River, where the rebels were driven from a line of breastworks commanding the river bottom. The enemy next stood at Prairie de Anna, which was fortified with a line of rifle-pits and epaulements for guns on barbette a mile and a half long. Gen. STEELE flanked their position and Gen. PRICE skedaddled, after a brisk fight, towards Washington. Other skirmishes occurred during the march, but our total loss was less than 200....

Biden has said and done a lot of colossally stupid things. We now have one more for the pile, and it's a biggie. He plans to import Palestinians from Gaza. This is stupid beyond belief. Now for some background. Back in 2005 Israel departed from GazaOn September 12, 2005, Israel completed its unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip, as the last IDF soldiers left the coastal area after 38 years of Israeli presence. The disengagement plan was put forward by then prime minister Ariel Sharon to "lead to a better security, political, economic and demographic situation," according to the text...

[Catholic Caucus] The Associated Press on the future of the ChurchThere have been numerous mainstream media articles on how traditional Catholics (and conservative Catholics favoring tradition) are the future of the Church, particularly in the U.S. Many such articles, however, were during the Benedict XVI papacy and following his 2007 motu proprio Summorum Pontificum. A handful of positive articles since Pope Francis' TLM suppressions have been published in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. So, it is very encouraging to see a new Associated Press article today entitled "'A step back in time': America's Catholic Church sees an immense...

(The Center Square) – Twenty-six states sued the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Wednesday arguing a new federal rule it's implementing targets lawful gun owners and is unconstitutional and illegal. Texas and Kansas led two multi-state coalitions; Florida filed its own lawsuit. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced their multi-state coalitions at a joint press conference in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday. The announcement was the first time Paxton has held a press conference about official state business since he was impeached last year. Paxton was the first Texas attorney general to...

Seven members of Northwestern University’s committee to fight antisemitism resigned in the wake of the capitulation of the university administration to many of the demands of anti-Israel, antisemitic activists earlier this week. As Breitbart News reported, Northwestern agreed to provide $2 million for Palestinian students and faculty; to provide a special house for Muslim students; and to allow activists to meet with the university’s investment advisors. In return, the activists dismantled their tents and returned to daily protests on university property. There were no other consequences for the activists who scared Jewish students, vandalized property, and disrupted campus life.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre short-circuited Wednesday when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked who is funding the anti-Israel campus protests. Hundreds of protesters have been arrested across the U.S. as they have attempted to occupy college campuses and violently clashed with law enforcement forcing them to disperse. A mob of over 200 protesters at Columbia University barricaded Hamilton Hall in the early hours of Tuesday morning and held three janitors hostage, leading to about 100 arrests and potentially several expulsions. Jean-Pierre did not directly answer whether President Joe Biden’s administration will investigate how these protests are...

Stanford University, its campus lined with redwoods and eucalyptus trees, has long been known as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. But in recent years, another ideological force has taken root: “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” a euphemism for left-wing racialism. DEI, in fact, has conquered Stanford. I have obtained exclusive analysis from inside Stanford outlining the incredible size and scope of the university’s DEI bureaucracy. According to this analysis, Stanford employs at least 177 full-time DEI bureaucrats, spread throughout the university’s various divisions and departments. Stanford’s DEI mandate is the same as those of other universities: advance the principles of...

Former President Donald Trump shared a positive note following last week’s U.S. Supreme Court hearing, in which justices heard arguments from his legal team about “presidential immunity” stemming from charges brought against him by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Trump reacted to the “monumental” hearing Thursday, saying he thinks it was “made clear” that a president “has to have immunity.”

1 John 5:14-15 (King James Version) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. How desperate do you have to be to Virtue Grandstand for a group of bloodthirsty savages as if they are an oppressed person. Never mind they just had a sneak attack to gang rape and murder two thousand innocent victims; the innocent victims are the problem. You have...

A coalition of pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) in the state of New York preemptively filed a lawsuit against the state’s attorney general, Letitia James, on April 30. The lawsuit comes just days after James sent a letter to the centers noting that she would be suing them for “misleading statements” regarding the so-called “abortion pill reversal” protocol. The Thomas More Society is representing the PRCs, including CompassCare and Heartbeat International, in the case Heartbeat, …CompassCare, et al v James. James sent a letter to 10 of the state’s PRCs on April 22, in which she indicated that she would be...

Top Biden administration officials worked with the National Archives to develop Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against Donald Trump involving the former president’s alleged mishandling of classified material, according to recently unsealed court documents in the case pending in southern Florida. More than 300 pages of newly unredacted exhibits, containing emails and other correspondence related to the early stages of the hunt for presidential papers, challenge public statements by Joe Biden about what he knew and when he knew it regarding the case against his political rival. The new disclosures indicate the Department of Justice was in touch with the...
