This is huge! Leading UK newspaper reports that the Pentagon's inspector general is going to investigate ALL of Kerry's decorations and citations. John Lehmann quoted as saying he never signed Silver Start citation in 1986.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Martha Burk regrets that she did not allow herself to get arrested by picketing outside the gates of Augusta National last year, but said Saturday there is no point returning to protest the club's all-male membership in April. "Our plans are basically pretty set - we're not going to do it," said Burk, head of the National Council of Women's Organziations. "There's no point repeating last year if we're going to be stuck in a hole." Burk had threatened a demonstration on Saturday of the 2003 Masters, but a local ordinance denied her access to the intersection...

"The Life of David Gale" is the best movie I have seen in the last two years. It is about the death penalty and its opponents, and is VERY politically incorrect. I can't say more without giving away the plot. It got zero (0) stars from Ebert because he didn't agree with its politics! I was glued to my seat for two hours. Fellow Freepers will love this movie, and the time just rushes by.

Check out amazon.com...the great Ann Coulter's new book "Treason" (not even published until June) is at #89 in sales already, while Al and Tipper's parvum opus drops to 16,107...but there is no market for conservative books as any mainstream publisher will tell you.

Norma Albritton rests her head on the shoulder of her on-and-off boyfriend, Richard Simmons. ''He's OK at times, but when he's drinking, I can't handle it. I wish someone could get him help, but every time he gets help, he don't want it. I've tried and tried and tried. It's eating up his liver, but he don't care.'' Travis Long/Staff Richard Simmons' face is rough from days and nights spent outdoors. A dark scar protrudes from his hairline, and his cheeks and nose are often red from the alcohol he drinks. A 42-year-old veteran and homeless man in a shaggy...

Anti-Iraq Rhetoric Outpaces Reality Military Not Primed For New War Soon By Walter Pincus and Karen DeYoung Washington Post Staff Writers Sunday, February 24, 2002; Page A01 At Boeing Co.'s high-tech factory in St. Charles, Mo., three shifts are working 24 hours a day turning out smart bombs to replenish Air Force and Navy inventories that ran dangerously low during the Afghan war. Pentagon planners say it will take six months to produce enough Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), the precision systems that guided 1,000-pound bombs to Taliban and al Qaeda targets, to contemplate an attack on Saddam Hussein's Iraq. ...

What I Did Was Legal, But Was It Right? I avoided the draft by taking a student deferment; what haunts me is that somebody took my place By James Dannenberg NEWSWEEK Feb. 18 issue — Funny how time and events can turn your world view upside down. Now that we are engaged in what most folks—me included—consider a “just war” in response to terrorist attacks, a war in which American men and women volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way, I am reminded of the not-so-subtle moral ambiguities my generation faced during the Vietnam War. • Yellow Pages • ...

Sorry I don't know how to do this. Wash Times has good article, Gore with Lieberman at his side says at press conference he will follow electoral college vote even if he wins the popular vote. A step in the right direction, though it may just mean he will challenge and litigate Florida results to a fare-thee-well.
