I never said the story was from the past 10 minutes, ya know? The issue is relevant whether it is 10 minutes old or a year old.
You mean the book of Daniel in the Old Testament?

Apocrypha ~ I’ve noticed different sources reference the various items by various names. As far as Daniel goes I just lump him into his own set of literature ~ which, in any one document might spill over into other things. How about for those of us that didn't see it a year ago? (Besides, a reminder about how homosexuality and many aspects of Islam are both perverse is needed).

I was discussing the movie the "The Hurt Locker" (an excellent movie if you haven't seen it) with a co-worker recently and made the statement "For anyone that thinks we can westernize the Islam culture, they should see that movie".
He ROARED with laughter in agreement.
But then it's really not about westernizing that culture; anyone knows that our presence in the Middle East is really about the big "I".
Ah. I've read the OT book of Daniel many times and was confused. That makes sense, though. I've been meaning to read the Apocrypha, just haven't gotten around to it.

I still am torn between American intervention in the Middle East. I know what the Founding Fathers believed (mind our own business abroad), yet if the destruction of Judaism in the Middle East is successful by radical Islam, then Christianity will undoubtedly be next.

This whole place used to be a country far larger than the United States that stretched through most of 13 time zones.
There are those who would like to RESTART that country and they're naturally inclined to attack the strongest power in the world to make that happen.
If China were the strongest, they'd be going after the Chinese. If Brazil were strongest, Brazil wold be the target.
