Eat more garlic! Spray on deep woods OFF, tie dryer softener sheets in your belt loops.

Just one if the mosquito has some weird disease spread by it’s bite. Yellow Fever is just one of them.

My dad was stationed in the military in Alaska back when I was a young tyke.

He said he and some of the guys he worked with, saw adult moose who were killed by mosquitoes by smothering them.

Big mosquitoes and thousands of them.

Tabasco won’t stop them from biting but, according to this commercial, it will take care of them afterwards.

The Mosquito is the Alaska State Bird - although no-see-ums and white socks can be more annoying, then there are the horseflies who will chase your boat just for a bite.

From the Google

On the one hand, scientists have found that today’s gin & tonic contains too little quinine to have a truly effective result. ... The smell and taste of juniper is known to be preserved in a modern gin & tonic and the local mosquitoes don’t like it any more than their malaria spreading cousins in the tropics.Jun 21, 2019

Several years ago, I saw photos of cattle being bled to death by mosquitoes.

I think in the swamp areas of Louisiana.

When I spent a year in Alaska, I found out from a local that the bugs didn’t like certain scents. One of them was lavender. I ordered some lavender oil and covered myself with it. I, also, found out the local ladies loved it, too. Got a lot of drinks bought for me at the club and the lone bar downtown. But the mosquitoes left me alone a lot more.

When I was a kid, mosquito bites were a common feature of every summer, but I don’t think I’ve had more than one or two in twenty years. Do mosquitos discriminate against old people?

Just one mosquito will kill you if it has the right diseases.

I haven’t had a mosquito reaction since I was a child despite being bitten, although that too seems rare. Just as I’ve developed allergies as life goes on.. These little buggers don’t like me anymore for some reason.
Thankfully.
