But both eye color and hair color can occur on a gradient with the right genetic combination. The Gartside girls fall within the spectrum of possibility.

Simple deduction - clearly the races diverged prior to the evolution of blue eyes or they would be present in people without European ancestors. It is pretty unlikely that brown eyes exterminated the blue-eyed gene in every race but Whites.

I started out with brown eyes. They went hazel in my mid 20’s. As time went by, they started turning green. I am in my mid-60’s and I now have a green colored eye. My father’s eyes were a beautiful shade of lighter green. My eldest daughter has those exact eyes. My mother’s eye color was a solid brown, which is the eye color of my youngest daughter.
Mia Farrow’s son Ronan has that beautiful blue eye, and the face is quite similar to Sinatra’s. I tend to believe the rumors that Mia and Frank are his parents.
I sat next to a girl in HS Biology class that had that same thing, one brown, one blue.
I had a Huskie with beautiful steel blue eyes, but your image friend has a more turquoise look. Very nice if authentic.
