So I watched part of the video. Bever seems a bit of a charlatan. In a matter of 45 seconds he changes the numbers at least 3 times. Either he’s obfuscating or confounding on purpose, cavalier, or it’s a genuine idiot.
So this number of ballots changes 3 or 4 times. He said 7000 by mail which arrived late. Then that changed. Then there was 10,000 from drop boxes. Then that changed to 12,000 or 15,000. But he was “sure” that they got all the drop boxes and had them on display and thT there were no more left “to find”
In any case there’s two serious problems. They count all the early votes early. He admitted this on video. So they know before Election Day what the early vote count is. That’s a problem because it tells bad actor partisans if they need to cheat, then by how much they need to cheat. Then, maybe some or most of these mail in ballots are legitimate people who mailed them before the deadline (which maybe needs to be amended by law, post mark should be at least several days before Election Day). But using the statistical model, they know more or less the legit mail in ballots will break proportionally the same as the tabulation they already have. So the vote count changes but they know if the vote is 60-40 and they get 10,000 in the mail, they don’t even have to count them, they know they need at least 4000 additional ballots to make up in addition to whatever deficit they already tabulated from early counts.
This leaves us with the drop boxes. Those are seeming insecure and spread around the city. It’s an absurd system. Maybe the need for drop boxes can be argued - though you could also say they are totally unnecessary when the mail ballots come with prepaid envelopes. Then you don’t need them at all there are drop boxes already at every address and spread out the city by the USPS. Anyway, you know you need 4000 ballots plus and the last step is to go around and collect from the drop boxes. This is where the cheat is easily deployed. A couple of people in a couple of vans drive around after 7 or 8 pm on Election Day and start collecting the drop boxes. The chain of custody there is easily broken… not to mention, they are already exposed for weeks to tampering where anyone who can get hands on a ballot and drop as many as they want into them. There was a city official in some city recently who was seen on video dropping dozens of ballots multiple times at various drop boxes. Anyone can be doing that for weeks on end. And then, at the very last moment, they can be stuffed full of whatever you need when they are being collected.
It’s all a big mess, made intentionally messy, and likely to enable cheating. It needs to be reformed.
