Isn’t there some kind of “effect”...

You may be thinking of the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect as described by Michael Crichton.

Thanks, I knew there was a scientist in there, and thought maybe it was the Feynman effect or something.

“The only people who think Clinton was a neocon are far left freaks and Russiabots.”

The term bites, no?

You were very close. The genius physicists Richard Feynman and Murray Gell-Mann were at Caltech together.

“Back in 2011, although NPR’s audience tilted a bit to the left, it still bore a resemblance to America at large. Twenty-six percent of listeners described themselves as conservative, 23 percent as middle of the road, and 37 percent as liberal.”

2011 was when the fundraising scandal happened. The was when Project Veritas recorded the head of NPR fundraising basically admitting NPR was completely biased towards the left at a meeting with a fake Palestinian org who wanted to give 5 million to NPR.

Uri Berliner isn’t a German German name. Anyone with that name would have had his German citizenship stripped in the 1935 Nuremberg Laws.

In the 1990s, I listened to NPR on my way to school and work. It was always left leaning. Today it is a slightly higher class MSNBC

Emile Berliner would be surprise to hear his name was not "German".

It’s been a couple decades since I’ve listened as well. It wasn’t really balanced, but tolerable back then.

No it didn’t change in 2011.

It changed dramatically in about the early 1990s. I remember because I was an all day listener of my local PBS classical station. Heck I had play group parent friends who were local PBS correspondents and newsreaders.

It wasn’t Trump that changed them. Clinton years did it. Imho.

I applaud Uri Berliner for admitting that NPR is biased.

In this day of the national deficit growing $1T every 100 days, it’s well past time to completely DEFUND the Marxist indoctrinators National Public Radio (and Public Broadcasting System), the so-called “crown jewels of American journalism.” Poor Uri has been drinking the American Pravda kool-aid for too long.
