I am surprised by how many feel “WTF” is an appropriate acronym to regularly use considering what it stands for.

When we dress appropriately, speak appropriately, and even eat appropriately, we are not being haughty or pretentious. Quite the opposite. We are honoring the others near us.

I tell this to my children all the time!

Sure we can observe and lament the degradation of the culture; but why must I wade through the same thing when I read Free Republic?

I hardly read every thread here, but among the days when I'm reading my usual amount here, rare is the day that a particular word doesn't appear on my screen. (Of course, I'm not looking for that word, and I don't even specifically look for threads that I think are likely to contain it. The word is just there.)

What seems to be happening is that people see it (and various permutations) so much, that they think it is OK.

“Everybody’s doing it.”

And thus it continues. A week of no tolerance might go a long way toward clearing it up. I expect that there are really not that many offenders relatively speaking. They just post a lot.

If you have a point to make, please make it and I promise to comment on that point.
