True. Most assailants aren’t going to telegraph that they have a knife and will stab you until very close. And even at my half century, if I were within ten feet of someone and hell bent on stabbing them there’s not much they can do to prevent it.
Scott Adam’s admonishment comes to mind.
If even Israel won't reconsider its gun control it's a lot to expect Germany to. I wouldn't expect to see any loosening of the fundamental right of self-defense anywhere the denial of it has been cemented in place by a political class who has its own safe spaces and bodyguards.
What happens if the political class who has its own safe spaces and bodyguards becomes so despised by the vulnerable public that even the bodyguards (and their families and friends) are no longer safe from public retribution? The remaining bodyguards may decide to have some retribution against the elites of their own. Unintended consequences that the elites failed to comprehend.
9mm ammo is again affordable. If not already doing so, periodic live fire practice at 5, 10, 20 yards will be most helpful.
Shoot, shovel, shut up.
Or, where I’m at, shoot, throw in the back of the truck, take to the gator farm, and shut up.
