(To paraphrase Airplane!)

They bought their tickets.
They knew the risks.
I say, let ‘em crash.

Rising sea levels were debunked, so now the land is sinking. Then on to the next lie.

“ Then on to the next lie.”

Here’s a truth. At some point in the future there will be another great ice age. Glaciers will advance and sea levels will fall. New York, Chicago, Washington and other cities will be destroyed by massive sheets of ice as the land surface is scraped clean.

If the human race hasn’t destroyed itself by then, through biological tinkering or nuclear war, the advancing frigid air and glaciers will spur the greatest migration of populations in human history. Land sinking a millimeter per year is insignificant when considered in the context of the earth’s geological history and future.

2 millimeters = .07 inches.....Alarming!

Using millimeters instead of inches adds drama to a mundane factoid.

Kinda like the local weather people preferring to show wind chill numbers rather than actual temperature.

“...will spur the greatest migration of populations in human history.”

People will start to go hungry way before any migration happens. That will cause WW Number x to happen as countries fight for cropland. Then the migrations will happen. There will be survivors, but it won’t be pretty.

Where do they take these measurements anyway?

Another calamity that can only be averted by $billions of government spending and grants (to the “connected” of course).
If government can’t create enough problems to spend money on, they just create them out of thin air.

Is it as real as the energy crisis which Jimmy Carter first proclaimed as “real”?

LaGuardia airport and the surrounding area was a landfill. Hence, the moniker LaGarbage.

The Meadowlands NJ is a swamp.

Flushing Meadows airport has been underwater for decades…back to when we were worried about the coming ice age.

I’m pretty sure the eastern edge of North America has been slowly sinking for thousands of years (while the western edge has been slowly rising.) It’s geology. At the same time, building on anything but, maybe, bedrock, makes the ground sink.

If you want to treat “continental sinking” as irrationally as they treat “climate change,” you need to immediately start demolishing the major east coast cities and hauling the heavy debris inland to more stable geology.

Sounds like a great opportunity to get political payoffs from contractors. I can see this being the next great Democrat grift.

“Build a wall and keep them from higher land.

Only way to get rid of the scourge of east coast liberal infestation.”

Remember that red/blue America by county map? My home in coastal New Jersey is in one of those two red dots in a sea of blue. Your wall will trap us behind enemy lines!
