Fun fact;

Following federal occupation of Brownsville in 1863, Eagle Pass became an important shipment point for Confederate cotton. After the war the last Confederate force in the field, the Shelby expedition, crossed the Rio Grande at Eagle Pass and in a ceremony buried in the river the last flag to fly over Confederate troops.

It would be fitting for Texans to bury the last US flag to fly over Texas in the exact same spot!

The newspaper says secession like it was a bad thing. LOL.

Joe is teetering on the edge of Hell, one slip away from eternal damnation. He's going to make sure he does as much damage as he can before he returns to his father Satan.

The "Take Texas Back" pledge asks candidates to promise that if elected, they will place the interests of Texas before any nation or political entity.

Biden made his own "Take Texas Back" pledge ... with Mexico ...

“Joe is teetering on the edge of Hell, one slip away from eternal damnation. He’s going to make sure he does as much damage as he can before he returns to his father Satan.”

That is the ONLY explanation I’ve read that makes any sense.

Late to the party here, but I seem to remember Texas having oil.

Isn’t that similar to some middle eastern countries.

You only need 34 states to approve a constitutional amendment that would enable secession. The GOP controls 25 states. So they need 9 Blue states to sign onto secession. Could happen.

Secession is the only way out of this mess. At some point even the most normalcy biased amongst us will understand that.

” The website for the Take Back Texas pledge does not identify how an independent Texas would be funded in absence of federal money that currently comprises about 30% of our state’s budget”

For one thing, Texas will not be sending cash and boatloads of taxes to DC anymore. They will not have to follow any of DC’s retarded regulations anymore. And they will be able to attract all kinds of business. With no natural enemies and a very heavily armed populace, Texas will not need a large military.

It could work just fine.

Secession will happen at some point. The US empire is too big and unstable.

Not neceesary. The USC is silent on the issue of secession. Nothing prohibiting it.

When secession was brought up a decade or so ago the naysayers pointed out that if Texas wanted to secede it would have to purchase all of the federal projects (highways, dams, military bases, etc.) from the feds. This doesn't seem fair as Texans helped pay for those. However, they paid for them as US citizens and not as Texans.

Also, the Deep State will sow uncertainty about what will happen to government programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Fannie Mae mortgages, etc.

So-called conservative retirees will be scared into voting to stay.

A ping out to the Texas Ping list, founded by Windflier.

So the DMN wets its pants over succession, what do you know. Figures that a bunch of wanna-be Austin city lovers wouldn't support succession!

Another special Texas winter edition for your perusal.

As always, please FReepmail me if you want on or off the Texas Ping list.

Blessings, and stay cool!
