I met an older guy (handyman) that had a house in a small town in the Colorado mountains. He had a “normal” house but then changed things.

“I got tired of having a sink full of dirty dishes, so I got rid of everything except one place setting. I got tired of having visitors stay for too long, so I got rid of all of my chairs except for the one I use.”

It’s not that “men are simple creatures”.

It’s just that most things that women obsess about, we are not interested in, and much of what men are interested in, women don’t care about, and so don’t notice.

4. Men Don’t Need Companionship.

We do need and want companionship. However, we may not be interested in YOUR companionship.

You know how my husband chooses his shampoo (which, ironically and quite fitting to this thread, is actually a body wash he also uses as a shampoo)?

The first time he used it, the scent on him was intoxicating. I mentioned that he smelled delicious and gave him a long, deep kiss.

He’s bought the same brand ever since.

Most of this is just feminazi/newage (rhymes with sewage) BS.

and yes, compared to women, men are indeed very simple creatures. As a guy, I would know. What we like and want is pretty much the same the world over and hasn’t really varied over time.

” Men Aren’t Interested in Personal Growth. “ WTF does that mean? Not having piles of self-help books like neurotic women are said to have?

WTF is "personal growth"?

I like learning. So when asked I say, "I like learning new things." I've always associated "personal growth" with touchy-feely psychobabble....the kind of thing a lot of women go for.

My husband is a complex person, but because I love him and understand him, he is very easy to read.

His wants and desires are simple: good sex, good food, a comfortable, safe home, and peace.

I think most men would agree that if their wife meets those needs, they would consider it a happy marriage.

He’s happy, because his sense of purpose fills everything else.

That's actually brilliant. You could write a book on that theme. Women don't know this.

Women’s tendency to nest doesn’t allow them to understand how little men need to get by.

I’ll take “toxic masculinity” over soy latte-sipping, mincing lil’ sensitive dudes prancing around antique shops any day.

I heartily agree. Black coffee is my go-to, and being sensitive can be interpreted as whining.

“Of course most of what he did was not what we liked, but he was very good at speaking.”

A real comparison to many speakers like Obama is Adolf Hitler who was capable of bringing huge crowds to exaggerated emotional outbursts. And like Obama, Hitler was the archetypal “charismatic leader”. He was not a “normal” politician - someone who promises policies like lower taxes and better health care - but a quasi-religious leader who offered almost spiritual goals of redemption and salvation. And Obama was a mirror image when it came to political persuasion.

“1. Men Aren’t Emotional.”

That’s where I stopped reading, because #1 is a lie. Unless Intermittent Explosive Disorder isn’t an emotional thing.

“Not having piles of self-help books..”

..that tell them why everything is someone ELSE’S fault and why THEY are just victims…
