More likely people in a place like Beslan will rise up and begin ethnic cleansing of the Muslim population. The elites on the left will equate taking actions that are necessary (closing borders, proactively killing Islamofascists)with this response and we will be further hamstrung in our ability to respond as we must.
satan is a really intelligent adversary
Steyn is more of an American than the RINOs, the "undecideds," and the Party of Slavery and Treason. I have yet to see a poor article from him.
Steyn Bump!
>>>9/11 was not the day that changed the world but instead the day that revealed how much the world had already changed.<<<
So very true!!

I note your comment, "Europe will lay down and submit. They are all but already there," and think that if I were a resident of Europe, I would hope to be an old person right now. The future there looks really bleak.
Just because I didn't know you were the one responsible for naming wars doesn't mean you need to act like a liberal when someone asks for clarification.
Great read.
Steyn and others are wailing the klaxon as loud as they can. Are enough listening to make the ultimate difference?
I always hated that song
Perhaps, but how does 'Allah' define sin? Not killing enough 'infidels'?
I believe that when the West will be aroused (and yes, it will happen... after a few hundred thousand are killed by the muslims)... there will be a mass massacre of muslims in Europe à la St Barthelemy...
I expect some kind of civil war in Europe, depending on how well future generations of Muslims integrate. The new generations of 'old' Europeans won't be quite so idealistic. Look for a Fourth or Fifth Reich.
I don't think that's conclusive. It take only a few thousand votes to swing an election. We'll see where they're at next election.
Powerful column from Steyn.

There is no winner in a cultural war becuase it never ends. Cultures are constanly changing and the best we can do is keep fighting to avoid losing the good and valuable of the culture we have now. We can never really win.
We may not be building an empire, but we had better be prepared to win the war.
Too many people live in a fantasy world and subsist on wishful thinking. 'People are basically good'; 'We just need to understand each other'; 'Can't we all just get along'; and other lame cliches form the modern liberal secular religion.
But then what I'm describing isn't the current state of affairs in Europe, it was the state of affairs in 1940 in the United States when Germany was on the march and we - and the Russians - sat back hoping we wouldn't have to. There was a point where Britain fought alone against impossible odds, and things looked pretty black. Then it changed.
I think it will again. Europe isn't dead, it's just in a state of deep denial, hoping that it won't have to march because we are. What might arouse it? I point out that Paris and Berlin are within range of Iranian nuclear missiles, and New York is not. Not a happy scenario, perhaps, but then neither was Pearl Harbor.
