Bump for a sobering read. The West seems bent on self-destruction.

You are so right. Here in America,we have permitted the proverbial "Trojan Horse" into our midst by allowing the unlimited immigration of muslims. They are busy building "mosques", which they use as recruitment centers, and "madrassas", which are in reality training centers for hatred.

Islam intends to take us from within, preferably through the political process, but if not then through armed overthrow once they gain enough strength. I predict they will be able to do so within the next 20 years in France and Belgium, and we could be in real danger here within the next 50 years unless we do something drastic about the situation.

It will be up to our current youngest generation - those who were children on 9/11/2001 and saw the horrors of muslim intentions - to do the necessary job of interning and expelling all muslims from the US.

Mark Steyn always says everything that needs to be said!

Indeed. But is anyone listening?

It appears not! Thomas Sowell says the other half of everything, and nobody seems to be listening to him, either!

Devastaing accusation... and true too... America democrats are in la-la land as usual and the republicans mosly want to be bi-partisan with Islam but not all of Islam.. He's correct.. The MuzzlimPox has infected humanity long enough and should be studied until ALL THE COMEDY COMES OUT.. because studing the Koran and hadiths(source of the Koran) is a filty task and the mind must be WIPED often..

(Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 516) Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night."

SURA 9:29 , Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book(Christains/Jews), until they pay the Jizya(wrong religion TAX sometimes 80% of earned income) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

And the Democrats are desperate to elect a President who wants to sing lead in this chorus.

Declared, open Dems, and those closeted in the so-called mainstream media, which still claims a pretentious objectivity that far too many people believe is true.

There has never been a World War IV, because World War III only began on 911, and we’re still fighting it. Talk of World War IV is casuistry begun by Norman Podhoretz and one or two of his neocon buddies. If you call both war and its absence "war," then humanity has been in one never-ending war since the beginning of time. Casuistry is never helpful.

The Islamic culture is under severe attack from the Western culture. Western TV and movies pour into their countries. Their children are educated here. Each educated Muslim can accommodate the West or rebel and become radical.

The democratization of Iraq and Afghanistan and (I believe in 4 years) Iran will hit harder than the H-bombs some FReepers want to throw. This will hit even the uneducated masses watching al-Jezeera when these governments are voted in and out by their own people. What will happen in Egypt? In Syria? Lebanon? Jordan?

Mark wrote a great article about the West's weaknesses. Remember our enemy, radical Islam also has great weaknesses. The major one is they underestimate the staying power of the US. Even Vietnam, as politically messed up as it was and abandoned in the end, could have been won. The US stayed with it for 12 years. We still have nine years to go before we reach that on the war on terror.

I don't think that's conclusive. It take only a few thousand votes to swing an election. We'll see where they're at next election.

I hope you are right, but past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior.

It makes me wonder how bad of an attack will it take to wake these people up.

The Train bombing was about 300 murders, my guess it will take a national catastrophe nobody wants to imagine

Thanx - Maureen Dowd (GAG - but I always stop to look at the pictures of Catherine Zeta-Jones!) called him that in an article I glanced at this morning.

The Soviets understood one thing: Fear is a universal motivator. A young man willing to die in a blaze of nail-bomb glory may balk at the idea that his mosque, family, and city would be razed in retaliation.

The killings of the Nepal hostages illustrates this idea. There's no terrorist fear that Nepal is going to seek revenge, or that the U.S. would seek revenge on their behalf.

I point out that Paris and Berlin are within range of Iranian nuclear missiles, and New York is not.

Iran doesn't need missiles. We have open borders.
