I am tired of hearing excuses for wanton murder. The root causes of conflict are used as a pretext to condone unacceptable behavior. Why did Hitler kill? Why did Saddam kill? Who cares? Why ask why/ Would the answer have been meaningful to the extent that it would have stopped to murder? NO. We took care of the problem. I am sick to death of seeing my fellow Jews slaughtered at the hands of Moslems. Enough is enough. This link talks a bit about "root causes."

Is it your belief that all this murderous madness is not the result of Islam? If your answer is "No" then I agree and would be interested in how it produces this madness. It seems fairly obvious that the mental destruction of a believer is necessary to accept the insane babblings of Mad Mo. Explaining the methods is appropriate and you still have not detailed your objection to this article's statements.
Why does explaining the process of that mental destruction excuse anyone for their actions? Any more than describing their education or social class or sexual proclivities. All those explain facets of reality. Brainwashing is also a fact of life.
Methinks your scientific method needs an upgrade if you believe the test you proposed would produce any results.
I don't think we disagree. The Islam that has emerged in as evil as it gets. In my sarcastic way, I'm dismissing the "science" of psychoanalysis (which I was trained in but reject for many reasons) as used by the author to explain away evil in a society that clearly has no moral core, has (for the greater part of the past 500 years or more) produced and exported nothing but oil and death. I am certainly not unsympathetic to any child who is victimized by an adult-I am worried that this psychoanalytic "research" (unprovable by any modern, scientific technique) will be used as propaganda.
I think the probability of success for such excuses dropped to near zero 9/11 and I don't really see that in Chesler's article.
Yes, it does not come out and say that but it is a seed....My fear is that it will be picked up and corrupted by the media and quietly embraced by Islamocrackpots who want to kill us all.
My interest in the socio-pathology of Islam is of the same sort as my interest in the socio-pathology of Nazism. For the most part the intense examination of the latter has not produced many who try and excuse Hitler of his actions because he was brutally beaten by his father or was homosexual. Or that Stalin was treated in a similiar fashion by his father explains/excuses the Gulags.
It is imperative to understand the internals of Islam in order to counter its very successful brainwashing techniques. Few are more powerful than those which actually motivate self-destruction as a deliberate tactic. It is my belief that sexual dynamics are at the base of its power and success in the material world. Paradise to the Muslim is an eternal orgy only interrupted by feedings from gorgeous women.
Those parts of that theory which are confirmed in this article lessen in no way my great desire to kill all those who are attacking us and Israel. Or my conviction that Islam is one of the greatest threats facing the world and either must be drastically changed or destroyed. We are not in for pleasant prospects.
Drastic change is unlikely because Islam cannot tolerate criticism or questioning because it is and idiotic twisting and misunderstanding of Judaism and Christianity. Questioning exposes all its lies, contractions and outright inhumanity. And the extremely low quality of thought in the Koran exposes it even more. It is without doubt the least profound, least artistic of the major religious texts.
Crude, revolting and insipid all at the same time. There is no depth within, comparing its thought to those of the Bible are like the babbling of a child to the speech of Lincoln.
BTTT for common sense.
good post
From: http://www.webster.edu/~woolflm/chesler.html ,
does anyone see a pattern here?
Phyllis Chesler is a pioneer feminine psychologist.
She was born in the late 1930's early 1940's to her mother Lillian (Chesler, Rothblum, & Cole, 1995; Phyllis Chesler, PhD. n.d.).
She says that she had few female role models as a child (Chesler, Rothblum, & Cole, 1995).
The only women she noticed who had college degrees were women in "feminine" careers, like nurses (Chesler, Rothblum, & Cole, 1995).
Chesler taught one of the first accredited women's studies classes at Richmond College in New York during the 1969-1970 school-year (Chesler, Rothblum, & Cole, 1995).
During the same year she founded the Association for Women in Psychology (Phyllis Chesler, PhD. n.d.).
During her time at Richmond College (now CUNY) Chesler established many services for her female students (Chesler, Rothblum, & Cole, 1995).

That was astounding. They are mad.
I just happened to see this post that I made last November, and am stunned all over again, reading it and the comments.
What an immense evil this cult is. I wouldn't dignify it by calling it a "religion," let alone "one of the world's great religions" or for heaven's sake "a religion of peace."
Ping to my FR "ping pals"......just in case you didn't see this one 6 months ago!
Thanks to all.
Char
Maybe so, but the article doesn't discuss polygamy.
Wait, now...OK, that's a lie.
For the past 4 years at least, it's become increasingly obvious that you do have to be.
Sorry about that.
Thanks for the ping!
"We stop trying to flush the Koran, you stop beheading Americans... Deal?"(This quote is from another really smart FReeper!)
Are the "free copies" of the Koran which are being handed out by CAIR....heavily edited? Redacted?.......to exclude all of those hundreds of verses demanding DEATH to all non-Muslims? If they aren't redacted, then where is the "peace" in the Koran? Where is the "greatness" which justifies the dignified label, "one of the world's great religions?" What is "great" about perpetual mass murder over 14 centuries? What am I missing here? http://www.townhall.com/news/politics/200505/NAT20050519a.shtml
In Christianity, those who are chosen have "ears to hear", hear His voice, He knows them and they follow Him (John 10). The fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control (Gal 5).
What a difference in spiritual hearing one must have to be drawn to Islamic fundamentalism...
Islam is an insane murder cult.
