This sort of thing makes me ill. Since when does the opinion of one miscreant over rule century's of tradition and faith?
Someone on this thread said some people are idiots. But there's nothing to be done for it. Well there are always options.

We sure have our share of bedwetters up here in WA.

...and a committed [ACLU] Jew.I'd bet the farm that Sidney would not object to a City Hall Menorah.

Leftists like this are funny. They are all for helping the needy (with Other People's Money), but they are opposed to a giving tree (because it offends them to look at it - LOL).
When it comes down to a choice, they'd choose not to look at a tree rather than helping needy people eat.
That pretty much shows where their hearts are, imo.

..which had a large number of Jews in its ranks, and was quite ruthless in its persecution of Christians in the Soviet Union.Being anti-Christian is very Jewish.

Right, he needs a reality attitude adjustment!
Whats Amazing is that that these fools think a Tree is a religious symbol, what for a treehuggers religion? (sarcasm to them)

"importance of being sensitive to the diversity of cultures and beliefs"
I wonder if this man would object to Seattle's annual Gay Pride parade because it offends the sensibilities of conservative Christians?

Dr. Stock is Right!!!
I think that it shouldn't stop there. This tree needs to come down. but, so does all the national forests in Washington. Because, after all, those pines trees are a year-round reminder of a Christian/religious Holiday. We need to immediately "Clear Cut" the National Forests so that we don't offend anyone.

Silliness! There's nothing wrong with Christmas trees in public places, and those who object to them are even sillier.
Exactly. What is so offensive about this tree anyway? The city government doesn't even refer to it as a Christmas tree, and there were no religious decorations on it.
Some people really need to get a life and stop pissing and moaning about such stupid, trivial things. Life is too short for such idiocy.

The key is to only restrict freedom when some nameless faceless entity is offended. If real people are offended, that's their problem.

Yeah, the athiests (socialists/leftists) are protesting Christmas this year because they lost the election. What they're really protesting is that they weren't able to cheat their way into electing sKerry. This is their method of 'payback'. It too will pass.

Jennifer Stock said she grew up in England, ``where Christianity is the religion of the country. But my understanding of the U.S. is that it was to get away from all that stuff,'' she said. Huh?

Easy, he's committed to being part of the Chosen People. He just doesn't believe they were chosen by anyone in particular. So....is he still chosen?

Heres an idea. As you drive down a "city owned street" and pass a Church. Are there not access points from the road to the church? I mean the road connects DIRECTLY to the Church's driveway! This is the city promoting going to church by providing easy access!
The city must put up concrete barriers at once!
(we really need a roll-eyes smiley)
