What was the P.O. Box number for the Texas Air Guard in the phony documents? Wasn't it something like 34567?

Huh? 700+ votes? King County had 527 "new" ballots I thought, now they need another 200 in order tip the election their way? The more Dims are involved, the more corrupt the election officials get.

A recount should be just that, another count of the ballots previously counted. If you add more ballots that weren't counted during the previous count, then it's not a recount.

The PO Box number happened to have been legitimate. It was found on OTHER documents including some provided by "W" himself!

I would imagine that number was given to the ANG unit as a courtesy by the local postmaster. Please note that it was 5 digits in length, and at the time most PO Boxes were 3 or 4 digits, and sometimes included an "alpha".

(Note: I remain the world's foremost expert in USPS post office box service and history).

I am no Lawyer, but as far as a recount goes in WA State, Misconduct must be PROVEN.

If it can be shown that the election outcome would depend upon ballots which did not have a proper chain of custody, I would think a good case could be made that the failure to maintain a proper chain of custody would represent incompetance, and the closeness of the election would make that material incompetance.

Why were the extra votes that Snohomish County found two weeks after the election allowed to be counted?

whoever wins this final recount will have a tough time in Olympia.

If Rossi holds onto his lead and is inaugurated (tick tick tick eventually tick tick tick), by governing well he can overcome the useless idiots who would whine about any GOP governor.

Bush pulled it off. The useless complainers still whine, but W bumped his vote margin by over 62 million votes for the second half.

I don't know anything about the Washington supreme court...

Don't hold your breath.

Well, I don't know. I hope not. It's possible, but I hope not.

This whole situation is really a win-win for Republicans. If Rossi is robbed, he is a very sympathetic figure (with great name recognition) to run against Cantwell in 2006. If he wins, it will drive the 'Rats absolutely looney, expecially if those "found" ballots would have beaten him. Sit back and enjoy, folks.

with Lt. Gov. Brad Owen (D) filling in during the interim.

And how far do we trust old Brad? I was so disgusted when he got elected to his first office. What a person to have in that office at this time.

Brad Owen is a "Scoop Jackson" Democrat, and I think he can be trusted.

Hmmm... Looks like even a liberal democrat judge agrees with MY interpretation of state law.

Soon, we will see what the Supremes say, and then we'll see who's interpretation of election law is correct, eh? ;0)

"Liberals blocking Christmas traffic in downtown Seattle, WTO-style demon-strations, all the stuff they're so good at."

Bring it on. The WTO riots did more good for the WA GOP than anything Republicans have done in 20 years. Washington is filled with moderate "good government" types—people who believe that ideology and debate are all like icky and stuff, ew. Such people vote for Democrats by default, since as we all know the Democrats are the party of niceness and tolerance </barf>, but the more the Left does to tear away that facade the better.

Similar to what happened in South Dakota.

Great post.

Your description of the Democratic establishment in Washington would apply equally well here in Connecticut.

That is why I love the Dummy Funnies and wish every single Democrat in the state had to read them with the morning paper.

After a couple of months of that the state would be more Republican than Idaho. :-)
