Some people just don't feel normal if they aren't bitching. Jeb is doing all he can, bottom line.

You nailed it.

"It is frustrating for people to think that I have power that I don't, and not be able to act," Bush told The Associated Press on Thursday. "I don't have embedded special powers. I wish I did in this particular case."

OH, puhleeeze, Governer. Don't go there. You do have the power and many of us understand THAT including you. You had the power to do somehing about this LOG, LOG ago. And you know it.

Sorry, FO, the Governer waited to long to begin TURNING the STONES. He's got one more big one he can overturn, but won't.

Most people forget about the power of the Sheriff.

A growing number of concerned, alarmed, and dismayed individuals, as well as groups, are becoming aware of a dangerous move to ELIMINATE LOCAL COUNTY SHERIFFS' OFFICES and LOCAL law enforcement. The tradition of local government emphasizes the importance of local sheriffs as the SUPREME AUTHORITY in the counties. That is why the sheriff is elected by the people, not appointed. The county sheriff, as the only elected law enforcement position in the county, and holding this traditional position of high authority, can step in to uphold his duties of protecting the people of his county. A sheriff is a part of our system of checks and balances so that government cannot misuse its authority. Local sheriffs MUST NOT abdicate their authority or duties to ANYONE (judges, government, county commissioners, local chieftains etc.) except TO THE CONSTITUENTS THEY SERVE as a proper functionary of local county government. That is why the sheriff is elected by the people, not appointed to become a mouthpiece, instrument, or representative of the Federal Government or any of its agencies.

Can't he send in police or National Guards to save her? This is a ligfe in danger because of judicial activism! She will die if he does nothing!
YES, if he had the political will and intestinal fortitude to have a knock-down drag-out fight with the judiciary. He doesn't, and the judges have won. They are now the ultimate authority in Florida.

EXACTLY. All Jeb has to do is to declare a state of emergency in Pinellas County, send in Florida National Guard troops as the local judicial system has become clearly corrupt in their efforts to murder an innocent woman, take that citizen of Florida into protective custody, place her in the best medical facility available, and direct the doctors to first reconnect the feeding tube and hydrate Terri, then after stablizing her, conduct a full battery of diagnostic tests, including an MRI, and when she is able to make any sort of rudimentary communication (and she will), have Charlie Crist present to see if she can give any information on how she 'collapsed' 15 years ago.

THAT is Michael Schiavo's worst nightmare. THAT is why he wants her to die, THAT is why he wants her cremated immediately after death.

Jeb can prevent this, all he has to do is pick up the phone.

Thanks for posting this,F O.

You knew, of course, that the thundering herd of Jeb trashers would pounce.

That the very man who has kept Terri alive is suddenly to be the man to be villified seems to be a popular pastime around here.

I want to know how many of these are trolls. It's clear some are disruptors using old accounts to stir trouble.

They are feeling inadequate because they are watching her die and are not physically intervening to save her. She is being crucified over a week's time.

They are just a bunch of worthless hypocrites with no real convictions. There is a clear cut case of right and wrong here and the Bushs' have decided to stand by expediency.

Seems that people forget a major point, when they say, "legally his hands are tied."

The point is that legality only exists within the framework of Natural Law. This is why the Founding Fathers were willing to fight when England said that there could be no compromise on the violation of the natural rights that the colonists in the Americas.

Natural Law surpasses any US legal law. A Moral Law can be illegal and a Legal Law can be immoral. If a law is deemded immoral, then anyone with the ability had the moral obligation to act.

Jeb Bush is violating Natural Law and therefore acting immoral. Whether or not his actions of taking her out of there being legal or illegal is of no consequence.

if a little degenerate judge from a florida backwater has more power than the governor of florida and the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES -we are all in SERIOUS trouble.

You can say that again. Time to work on an "exit strategy".
