hmm . . . this should be sent to every muslim in the world. I think I will start with the ones in my sister's neighborhoood... they had 3 big families living in one house. Then one day, about a month before 9/11, they all disappeared except for the three men. Coincidence???
The enemy is within. When Moslem prayers are being blared over speakers in Michigan neighborhoods then it is too late, we have lost. OOPPS!! That is ALREADY happening! We are living "invasion of the body snatchers" and it will end the same way.
To: Pokey78
It was Carl Rove that said that Democrats wanted to fight 9/11 in the courts and with therapy, vs. Bush took the fight right to the enemy.
Carl got blasted by Democrats and their MSM allies.
U.S. liberals, ask Tony Blair if he needs your help.
Or better yet, offer support anyplace as a preventive matter.

" love Steyn's stuff, but if he thinks Bush saying that would have altered the multi-cult landscape, he's dreaming"Steyn writes this absolutely brilliant piece and you pick this issue to whine about? I don't believe you "love Steyn's stuff" at all.

"This issue" is the topic of the entire essay, and if you want to just post 100% praise, have fun; I don't think there's a thing wrong with discussing issues on this site. And why would I care what someone who can't grasp the concept of disputing a point thinks about my opinion of Steyn?

It was Carl Rove that said that Democrats wanted to fight 9/11 in the courts and with therapy, Rove said "liberals" not "Democrats". It was the Dim whinefest that connected the dots.

Continuing thanks for the Steyn posts and pings. I've given up on pulling out my favorite lines from the Master Wordsmith because I would just end up reposting the entire article. He never ceases to amaze me...

In the summer of 2002 I wrote in this space that the President had failed to seize the moment: George W. Bush had a rare opportunity after September 11. God, had that been the only failure.
The messianic worship here notwithstanding, he will go down in history as the dunderhead that he is.

The post-9/11 world is not primarily a war between civilisations the West vs Islam but a war within one civilisation: ours. Its a long existential struggle between those who believe that Western values or, to be more precise, the values of the English-speaking world are one of the great blessings of this world and those counter-tribalists (in John OSullivans phrase) who believe those values are the source of most of the worlds ills. The latter are a relatively small group but their numbers are bolstered by legions so immersed in the sappy therapeutic culture of the age that theyve been persuaded that the best way to celebrate diversity is to abase oneself before moral relativism and non-judgmentalism. The Islamists are merely the lucky beneficiaries of this syndrome. Its hard to fight a war in a culture that recoils from the very concept of an opposing side: there are no enemies, just friends whose grievances we havent yet accommodated. WOW Mark went for the juggler on this one! I made the same argument today in my lame way.

Who cares about the vital impulses of the arts? When did Ground Zero become just another outpost for lame provocations by publicly funded artists? If thats your bag, theres a zillion places in town. Needless to say, thats not how the alleged artists feel, their general line boiling down to: but enough about the 3,000 dead lets talk about me. Go Mark Go! home run! bases loaded.
This is the way I think in My mind and the natterring naynobs just leave me shaking my head
