From the article*:
I'm just a tin horn dictator of a third world hell hole. And I say to Hell with Global Warming/Climate Change, what ever you want to call it. All I care about is how much MONEY the big guys are gonna give me. Period.
*Well, not really, but I'm sure you get my drift :)

We (India) are not even close to China and the US in our emissions. I suggest you take that comment to the Chinese instead, and besides, we are not selling crap like the Chinese are.

Besides, for all that you know, we are doing you a favor in not letting this resolution pass...the resolution is a more screwed up version of the Kyoto Protocol.

India and China will never sign onto binding targets. That's why all this talk of rolling back CO2 emissions is so much hot air and every one knows it.

Australia's new Labour government back-pedalled furiously after coming into power. If Labour won't commit in power, what makes any one think the Democrats will do so when its their turn? The Clinton Administration never pursued Kyoto.

“That’s all it boils down to. Money. It has nothing to do with actually reducing so called “greenhouse gases”. It\s about a massive transfer of wealth, which is why all these turd world Even though it’s so painfully obvious, the media still will not acknowledge this. Shows where these elite media owners hang out- with those global government liberals at the UN.”

It isn’t about a transfer of wealth unless you count the money coming from US taxpayers and going into the coffers of the crooks at the UN a transfer.

This is oil for food on a much larger scale.

The US should say they will sign it only if the money is kept in a US bank under US auspices and GAACP rules and auditing requirements.

Watch them say no. They tell them to go pound sand.

And what exactly is the US going to do except piss and bitch? All the global regimes (and the so-called UN) were created by the US as proxies to arm twist the countries that dont play by America’s rules. But now the countries have ganged up on the US to write their own rules assert their own damn economic interests. Your old Euro allies are no longer with you, Muslim (your erstwhile allies) are now thirsting for your blood, the world is now more anti-US then ever before and the new world order is lead by China. And now like a spent force US is sitting on the sidelines of all global organizations that it once created and lead. Still laboring under the delusion that somehow it still leads the global world order on its own terms and “turd world” are takers of that order. The world had passed the US by and it never noticed thats its own clout has diminished over the decades. The reality now is that US is nothing more then a middle finger stuck inside its own butt.

And leftist/lib types here and elsewhere are just so chock-fulla angst and guilt about the “EVIL” history of capitalism, colonialism, european culture and influence(along with civilization) inflicted on the turd world & second world that they will happily give $$$$ until we and other civilized countries are....well, destroyed. Just look on it as international reparations.

So ridiculous. Either the world is in crisis or it isn’t.

If it is, then emissions are emissions. Emissions don’t care if they’re from rich or poor countries, and we don’t have the luxury of playing favorites.

If it isn’t, then the whole thing is a total fraud with a real agenda that has nothing to do with climate.

I know what I believe.

"After overnight talks lasting beyond a planned Friday deadline, India told a 190-nation meeting that it wanted changes to a final text to strengthen the role of rich nations in providing clean technology and finance to help them fight global warming."

In other words, give me free stuff and pay me. It's the kind of stuff I've come to expect from the homeland of Indra "middle finger" Nooyi.

Well, you're asking us to cut down on emissions (and hurt our economy in the process). We're asking you to pay for those cuts, if you want to see your desires met. Who's free-riding whom?
