Glad that Capt. Phillips was able to be saved in spite of Obama's orders. Good for the commander of the Bainbridge and the captain of the Navy SEAL team for determining they hd operational authority!

Amen and exactly right.

Obama’s first response was to send in the FBI and treat the whole thing like a domestic crime rather than an act of piracy on the high seas. Only when the Somali thugs wouldn’t respond to diplomacy and negotiation did Obama allow the limited rules of engagement by military forces. Wait until the captured Somali pirate us acquitted in a federal court likely on some legal technicality.

The scene is described (better) in the book. I’d trust Tom Wolf to get it right.

The response to that situation was so long in coming that it had to be political trauma time at the White House. God help us.

But of course. Why wouldn’t he do this. And a rescue on Easter Sunday would put stupid in a brighter more compassionate light to the sheep in the MSM.

But you see, we racists(as Janenne Barfalo)who can’t stand a black President see things the way they should be. We know this shouldn’t have lasted more than 2 seconds. We know when the captain was debriefed and told the truth, of course he thanked the military(Navy)for rescuing him, and didn’t mention stupid at all. We know how bad things are and until stupid’s gone, will only get worse......

The Pentagon is turning into to a politically correct joke. Our politicians need to let our military do what they are the best at.

“Can you imagine the Captain’s shock when he jumped overboard to give them a clear shot and NOTHING happened?”

I posted that observation a week ago, within hours of the report of nothing happening when he went in, other than recapture. An unobstructed military would have been there if not for this CIC idiot.

Exactly! It is disgusting to see the media cover up for the obvious once again.

>>This should be headline news! Sadly, it will only get coverage on Fox News!<<

Which will only cause then to complain more about FOX without realizing that Fox is actually doing it’s job when it comes to reporting.

Hair grows back, testicles don’t.

Think he’s ever had them?

I’ve been thinking, Jimmy Carter had brother Billy, Bill Clinton had Roger (his cocaine dealer), I wish the MSM would let us get to know Obama’s family. Let’s see, we have the illegal immigrant aunt who supported his campaign, and the half brother who was detained in England for accusation of a crime against a minor, and the other Kenyan half brother who lives in a mud shack on $12 a month, who knows what else there is. And that’s not even counting the political views of all the men who shared the mattress with his mother and helped raise him in shifts.

“They” is a very reliable source, but ONLY when used in an anti-conservative news report. The anti-liberal they’s are very suspect; if you don’t believe me, check out the news (TV or written).

They won’t publish an anti-liberal piece unless they can actually print the names, addresses and personal information about their sources. However, when it comes to anti-conservative news stories the sources are: they, some people and a few people are completely honest sources.

The SEAL team operated under rules of engagement that required them to do nothing unless the hostage's life was in "imminent' danger... Hours later, frustrated by the missed opportunities to resolve the standoff, the commander of the Bainbridge and the captain of the Navy SEAL team determined they had operational authority to evaluate the risk to the hostage, and took out the pirates at the first opportunity – finally freeing Phillips.

I KNEW it! Obama DID NOT directly give the order to shoot the pirates.

Wow! Great idea to hold a Tea Party in honor of Navy Cmdr. Frank Castellano, SEALS and Captain Phillips. I will hold my glass high in appreciation of their bravery. Thanks also to Dr. Walker for the excellent account-—which our Main Stream Media will probably ignore. Many thanks Mach9 for the post. At least our military knows how to handle the situtation! Yea Cmdr. Castellan, yea SEALS, and yea Captain Phillips!!!

How right you were Safrguns!!! Our military acted on their own. Maybe the pirate who was aboard the hospital-ship,the only one of the four who survived, maybe Zero will feel sorry for him and bring him to the U.S. for rehabilitation!

Wow...thanks for posting the tipster’s account of how he spent Easter. Very interesting reading... Glad we have such excellent marksmen as our SEALS! Very interesting to read a first hand account of history. By the way, I appreciate your statement: “Loose lips sink ships.”! Good to remember.
