Yes, Justa, travesty is probably and understatement.

After the years of watching Murtha’s power increase in the House after the utter criminal and corrupt act he was associated with in ABSCAM and then watch his corruption also increase over those years was disgusting.

Now people high in government, probably Pelosi and a few other corrupt cohorts seem to have convinced Mabus, who may have not needed much convincing, to honor this turkey by naming a US warship after him.

This shows the caliber of people we have representing us in Washington, it’s very sad and extremely scary.

This tub should be christened by Jane Fonda with a magnum of pork drippings.

Hey, travesty was the best I could come up with in my stunned state of mind at the time.

It certainly does, and yes it is.

I hear you and understand. I was stunned, to say the least, when I first saw it and waited a day for a more complete article to post. If you didn't see the piece it was an editorial in The Washington Times and did they ever rip him.

Sink the Murtha

Argggg -- I didn't see this before going to bed last night.

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus thanked Murtha for a life of service to the nation.
“ His unwavering support of our Sailors and Marines, and in particular our wounded warriors, was well known and deeply appreciated.

Mabus is a damned liar! Unwavering support? You may want to ask the Haditha Marines about that unwavering support -- and I suspect the Hamdania Marines and our Navy SEALS may also want to weigh in.

He claimed to visit our wounded warriors every week. I was there every week and inquired about the scum visiting and was told unequivocally that was BS!

Thanks for the link! You pinged me to it I see, but I was in DC for the TEA Party and there is no catching up after I've missed a few days, so I don't even try anymore.

The Washington Times did I great job! Bless them!

You’re most welcome, Justa. I figured you were away and missed it and they did do a great job with it.

You’re absolutely right about Mabus, he’s a damned liar!

This is a disgrace. They should name toilets, preferably outhouses, after him, not Navy ships.
