Prayers going up, I know AlexW is living out there, I hope him and his family is all ok.
Prayers going out for the people of the Philippines, Alex's family, and those expats who don't rub our our nation's problems in our faces, while they play cowardly armchair quarterback from their beach houses in another country.
Alex made his bed, so he can damn well sleep in it.

Even though we are in the core of the typhoon, it is, so far, been much ado about nothing here on mid Cebu.(knock on wood)

I am close to the center of that big red ball, but nothing but gusty winds and a sprinkling of rain. I just came in from touring the town on my bicycle. There was not enough to get me wet.
Maybe the power will be on the backside. We will see.
We are encamped in a very strong and substantial small hotel on the main highway through town. So far, there have been only a few minor power disruptions.
As I am now about to click on post, I see a substantial increase in winds...
The Filipinos are going to get slammed by this. May God protect them.
Prayers up....believing they know how to get out of the way, as they’re forced to do it many times every year.
