We should always use the English, but using the Spanish we are helping them hide their racism.

Clearly the judge has the appearance of a conflict. Clearly the law firm does and was venue shopping.

I think this is much like Trump’s initial comments about illegal immigration from Mexico. He knows the facts. He also knows nobody looks at the facts......until he says something outragous. Then all this stuff comes about about “The Race” etc, and more people side with Trump in the end.

The American people are a smart enough lot....they just are completely ill informed a good bit of the time.

f they call themselves “La Raza”, meaning “The Race”, what else are they but racists?>>>>>>>>>>>>

Exactly. Why turn a blind eye to liberal fascism? Trump is right in fighting back.

After seeing their conduct in California in places like San Jose Trump Rally, its clear that they are a terrorist organization that the police force and the City Mayor are afraid to go against.

As Trump to put La Raza on the Terrorist Group list and ban them!

I suspect now that some sunshine has been shone on this judge and The Race, the issue as a political weapon for Hillary, will quietly go away.

“The problem is that Trump’s actual words are inartful. He did not cite Judge’s associations as basis for prejudice. Further, even if Judge is possessed with the appearance of impropriety, he must acknowledge it and recuse himself.”

Yes he did. He said from the first that the Judges associations made his ability to be unbiased doubtful.

The Media simply ignored that part of his words.

I listened to Mark Belling as he stood in for Rush. He quoted Donald, including this: “is a member of a club or society, very strongly pro-Mexican.”

Then Belling simply ignored that part of Trump’s quote.

“Mr. Curiel’s membership and active role in the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, whether or not it creates an actual bias, is enough to disqualify him from presiding over the case, said Victor Williams, a professor at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.”

Not just this case; but any case. He shouldn’t be a judge.

I love this verse. This is why I had such a problem with Ted Cruz. Even if he was the ideal Christian, he didn’t do a very good job during his campaign demonstrating this with what he said, and how he behaved.

McConnell needs to realize, Trump is on script. He threw out the GOPe scripts at first glance.

That’s not the standard,” he said. “The standard is could there be an appearance of impropriety. That’s the standard.”

Yepper - appearances count - not to mention the questionable actions by the judge (cadged as "minor mistakes"). Trump and his lawyers are all over this and those who think he's wrong are ready to lick the boots of the Leftist Masters...

Yes. Appearance of impropriety also applies to Hillary.

The Media has ignored that for years.

Who was it some years ago sternly said “It’s the seriousness of the charge that counts!” ?

Could a Muslim Judge Be Trump Neutral? Trump Thinks Not

He’s right.
______________
Trump has more common sense than all the politically correct worshipers out there. Judges need to abide by ethical rules of behavior. A professional conflict of interest can be actual or created by an appearance. Both must be avoided in order to promote public confidence in the judicial system. While only the judge knows if he harbors an actual bias toward Trump, there clearly exists an appearance of a conflict, not only by his Mexican heritage and pro-Mexican associations but by the way he has been conducting himself in the case. The ethical thing to do would be to recuse himself from deciding the case but these days it is whatever you can get away with that matters.

“This is a winning, not a losing issue with the majority but it must be framed and explained correctly. “

Totally agree. The left has very little to work with to fight him, and they are all in on this in a desperate attempt to paint him as something he isn't. This is his opportunity to actually destroy their chances for this election entirely, and essentially send them back to the political stone age (which is where they are ideologically anyway).

Specifically, he needs to point out that he is not now, nor has he ever been the member of a group that identified itself on the basis of race - but this judge is a member of an association that literally calls itself by the name La Raza - the race.

He should point out that he has never mischaracterized himself as the member of a specific minority in order to gain special treatment - like Warren, and how this type of behavior is the ultimate racism because it potentially displaces a real minority from the position or special treatment that was received - thus nullifying the point of the special treatment in the first place (essentially say that Elizabeth Warren stole from native Americans). Etc. Etc. Go after them, and make them pay for using the race card.

Is it true that Judge Creole has postponed the civil trial until after the general election? I heard that yesterday.

Yes, but that happened before this latest controversy. The trial is scheduled for late Nov.

In two weeks, this story will be over. I am glad that trial is after the election. Of all things to worry about in our country, the liberals want to focus on this CIVIL lawsuit while ignoring Clinton’s CRIMINAL investigation.
