Let the record show that most Americans approved of the Clinton-Castro shanghaiing of Elian Gonzalez.
I saw it as something the old Soviet Union would do.
Interesting, I find myself saying that about a LOT of stuff our country has been doing for a while.
She is truly satanic.
Fake, but accurate
I spoke with a Cuban physician in Haiti who claimed to have treated Elian in Cuba following his return for 2 broken legs caused by extreme punishment.
Clinton wanted Elian to go back to Cuba because Cubans are more likely to vote Republican..the last thing the Clintons wanted was this kid to grow up and vote Republican..now if he had come from Mexico she would have demanded that he stay here
Ditto that.
While the father was in the US, his parents were “vacationing” in a secure compound.
It was this event that turned me from a lurker into a freeper. The freepers were never fooled by this evil story!
HOW IS Elian DOING NOW? WHERE IS HE?
TRAUMATIZED IN HIS YOUTH ... THEN ??? BRAIN WASHED?
So did I. I was so angry about it. That poor little boy's mother died trying to bring him here. He had relatives here who wanted him. And the government abducted him by force. It was outrageous.
The obvious solution would have been to allow Elian’s father to come live in the US, but that was never even proposed. The father was always under close surveillance by Castro’s goons while in the US. The only reason the issue of making Elian go back to Cuba even came up was that Fidel ordered it and the Clintons were willing to obey.
The Clintons have already gotten away with enough criminal activity to fill a federal prison twice over. More than 3 decades of lawlessness if you go back to their Arkansas days, with the MSM and Democratic Party covering for them every step of the way. America is one step away from being Zimbabwe.
Government-inflicted traumatization. Despicable.
Yep. It truly is outrageous. It is one of many little factoids I’ve stored away that alter my perception of “who” and “what” the U.S. really is in its current incarnation.
"The armed seizure of six-year-old Elián González and his return to his father, who eventually took him home to Cuba; Elián's mother and stepfather had died in a dangerous trip by sea, and though his U.S. relatives had lost custody to his father in court, local officials did not enforce the ruling.
[Janet] Reno made the decision to remove Elián González from the house of a relative and instructed law enforcement officials to determine the best time to obtain the boy."--wikipedia
I carry a smaller copy of that pic in my wallet.
Cost Al Gore the 2000 presidency
Whew! I thought at first you meant that photo of Janet Reno!
:)
