He knew what he was doing and planned it. Which i tought from a legal standpoint means he is not insane?

Long read. The reporter states the FBI has made no further comments since Saturday. Yet, they are able to make this definitive statement within 18 hours of the shooting, case closed.
-—they have found nothing on his computer or social media feeds to suggest any links to Muslim extremists and they have dismissed an unsubstantiated Internet narrative that Esteban had converted to the religion as a teen and had secretly become a radicalized terrorist.
Authorities waited for six days, until they were legally forced to provide the name of the final victim who died 1PM Friday.
The hold-out name of the 5th victim is Mary Louise Amzibel (69). Her husband, Edward J Amzibel, is a victim of the shooter as well. The authorities wrongly stated she is from Ohio. Not sure what his occupation was why the need to blur these lines.
But the Amzibels actually live in Dover, Delaware. Secondary addresses showing in Maryland. Everyone travels through airports with driver’s licenses and they were purportedly leaded for an Amazon cruise. It’s just another oddity about the coverage of this shooting rampage.
I would hope it difficult claiming insanity when just a few weeks back both federal and Alaskan authorities passed him sane enough to have his gun returned to him...?
Hard to have it both ways. His defense will claim the Anchorage hospital was wrong, that he was psycho. The victims families will seek to sue them for damages.
The FBI will claim they followed protocol and that he is 110% not connected to any terrorist group and they could not predict his actions, even though he told them he had lots of ideas in his head about terrorism.
And what else do they have to do in Alaska? It’s not like an armed guy with military experience strolls in daily and discusses terrorism being planted in his brain? They have no excuse for not taking him seriously.
