*** The USA did this to the President of Bolivia when the FBI thought Julian Assange was aboard ***

Morales challenges U.S. after Snowden rumor holds up plane in Europe

On July 1, 2013, the denial of airspace by France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy led to an emergency landing for refueling in Austria where Morales voluntarily allowed the plane to be searched. Snowden was not aboard.

Not our circus, not our monkeys. Let the Euro-Trash take a break from fellating Putin via the NordStream pipeline to deal with it.

Or exciting Armenia/Azerbaijan. Could be really exciting if they’re having a hot scuffle.

If anything it would have been Bulgarian or Yugoslavian. I doubt you would have flown as far north as Romania.

Despite what some trolls here are telling, this is unprecedent!
Even Soviets did not do this.
Basically kidnaping civilian airplane and detaining passenger(s), by the Belarus state!
There are protests in Belarus regarding stolen election last Summer. This gentleman was one of the organizers and independent journalist. Like many opposition leaders of Belarus, like the Belarus elected President, he was hiding abroad.
Belarus dictator Lukashenko is cracking on any dissent. People are put to jail for like 20 years just for peaceful protest. And many of them died under suspicious circumstances.
No, in this case there are good guys and bad guys. And Lukashenko is NOT the good guy!
Belarus is the least free country in Europe, also one of the poorest. Lukashenko is the last dictator.

By the way - Belorussian is a language.
The area used to be part of Poland, eventually conquered by the Russia during the triple division of Poland (18th century). Before WWII western half of Belarus belonged to Poland, but was again stolen by Stalin, who created so called Belarus SSR. Belarus language is actually 50-50 mix of Polish and Russian, both Polish and Russian speakers have no trouble understanding.
But Lukashenko is dead set to be part of Russia. He seems mostly speaking just Russian.

Thanks, McGruff, ... the Ukes did this to Armen Martirosyan, a 60 year-old, credentialed, lifetime, career Armenian diplomat who is the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the United Nations.

Belarus picked up a wanted 26 year-old Agitator, and the UN whines this time.

Back during the ill-named Cold War a buddy of mine patrolled a particular border space. The Russians at the time were harassing civilian flights across the border and irking NATO. This one day two Mig-21s paralleled a civilian airliner and then decided to arm missiles and lock onto it. My friend was behind and above the Russians when he got a deedle and called it in. He was told weapons free and the two Russians suddenly had a very bad training accident.

That’s how you handle that crap.

US State Dept, NED, possibly Soros - read it all:

21 Aug 2020: Irish Sentinel: WHY IS LUKSHENKO BEING COLOR REVOLUTIONED JUST NOW?
by F. William Engdahl
The globalist Powers That Be have clearly decided to topple the long-standing sole-ruler of Belarus, President Aleksander Lukashenko. The question is why at just this time? There is a case to be made that one reason is he is being destroyed for his unforgivable coronavirus...

The Murky Nexta
A key role in coordinating the “spontaneous” protests was played by a Warsaw-based texting and video channel called “Nexta,” based on the Telegram messaging app. Nexta, which is Belarusian for “somebody,” is nominally headed by a 22-year old Belarus exile based in Poland named Stepan Putila...

The co-founder and Editor in Chief at Nexta since March, 2020 is a Belarus exile named Roman Protasevich who used to work for the US Government’s propaganda media, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Protasevich also worked for the Polish-based Euroradio which is partly funded by USAID. He was active in the CIA’s 2013-14 Maidan Square demonstrations in Kiev and according to his Facebook likes is close to Ukrainian neo-nazi Pahonia Detachment. In April 2018, Protasevich ends up at the US State Department in Washington, a notable contact. On his Facebook then he noted, “The most important week in my life begins.” The same day he posted a picture of himself inside the US State Department, stating “Never had so many important and interesting encounters in my life.”iii After he left Washington he went to work for the USAID-funded radio in Belarus Euroradio.fm on August 31, 2018. Two years later Protasevich is coordinating the anti-Lukashenko events from Warsaw via Nexta. Coincidence?...

Nexta claims it depends on “donations” and ads for funding, but claims to get no “grants” from governments or foundations. Whether true or not, it is an answer that gives little clarity. Is USAID one of their “donors” or the Open Society Foundations? The relevant point is that Nexta uses cyber technology that Belarus is not able to shut down. In 2018 the Russian governments unsuccessfully tried to ban Telegram for refusing to reveal their source codes...

People has been fed up with Lukashenko for a long time. He has stolen few elections before, and reigns with terror.
It does not take CIA or Soros for the people to be fed up and want change!
CIA/Soros are doing very bad job, if they trying to get rid of Lukashenko. Mr Engdahl seems to me being a Russian troll.

Ukraine in coordination with FBI planned the similar operation against regular Turkish Airlines flying 32 ‘Wagner mercenaries’ among others, who indeed has been just legit DNR combatants.
They planned to declare a false bomb threat and force land the flight between Minsk and Istanbul, while flying over Ukraine to arrest the guys.
The operation only failed because someone leaked the briefing to Lukashenko.
‘Radio Freedom’ extensively covered the story, the only outrage I remember is over the fact that there are moles in the Ukrainian administration. I don’t remember talks of ‘air piracy’.

Being fed with Lukashenko is one thing, to sign up for ‘hope and change’ in a situation where every opposition figure gets bought by foreign intelligence is another matter.
Don’t get fooled my mass protests last year. At max, they represent only 20% of population, the rest would be for Lukashenko, like him or not.
That is because they have a regime change train wreck Ukraine across the border, and scores of Ukrainian illegals, coming to Belarus, because the jobs destroyed by ‘democratic’ regime.

There would have been a lot more of democracy in East Europe, would the foreigners butt off.

That Protasevich guy is a good example. He is Polish trained, and fought in the Neo-Nazi Azov batallion in Donbas - the organization designated as terrorist by the US Congress.

He wasn’t wanted for ‘oppisition’ by Minsk, but for disseminating personal data of law enforcement officers involved against last year riots.

He publicized what schools their children attending, their home addresses and routes, calling rioters to kidnap children, so the cops would stop opposing them.
