Well, ... good.
Yeah, that’s the silver lining, I guess.
Unintended consequences.
I’m not convinced this is hurting China as much as the article states-China itself, via Covid restrictions, is ‘involved’ in slowing down and interrupting trade and trade routes. They have their own “Reset” agenda.
I think the opposite
This conflict will accelerate plans for China, Russia. india, Pakistan, the Gulf region…to build a new trade and economic order from the Heartland, independent from US and old ( Western European) dominated financial controls that the developing world sees being weaponized against Russia as a US political instrument
The worry is that that main beneficiary of a weakened Russia is China. The Chinese are rapidly supplanting Russian power and influence across Central Asia.
I agree. I think this article is disinformation for the western world consumption.
Everything I am reading and hearing about comes to a much different conclusion.
That is going to happen regardless. Russia, is in inevitable decline with a paltry economy. China is only going to get larger economically.
Putin is the best western implement as his policies are stagnating Russian Entreprenurial assets and economy.
China has a real estate issue, a BS economic report issue, and is beginning to have a demographic issue.
Russia is clearly worse off, but China isn’t without issue.
to be loaded and offloaded of goods; exacerbating global supply chain woes....
then it looks like this...
Epoch Times is a Falun Gong publication, so any “anti-China” pieces should be taken with a good bit of skepticism. They used to be a pretty good source for China stories unreported in the west, and occasionally still are. Over the past few years they have jumped on the conspiracy nut bandwagon and their reporting is getting less and less reliable.
Yes I understood that, and though as you stated their reporting was very good in the beginning and I brought their articles here along with others, but I stopped doing so when they went off half cocked.
Practically every single thread about Russia and/or Ukraine becomes a war of keywords, like clockwork.
It gets kind of boring.
—”This conflict will accelerate plans for China”
Even if Putin manages a Pyrrhic victory, Mother Russia will be set back a hundred years economically.
Before this debacle, Russia’s GDP, mostly energy exports, was less than Italy’s.
Russia will become a subsidiary of China for a long time.
I think China has used their extensive surveillance and tracking to plug many of the leaks ET was exploiting and has arrested or punished most of their sources inside China. Now they are desperate for content and the quality has dropped significantly.
Gosh. What a shame.
Actually that’s happening in a lot of nations as they’re all trying to recalibrate their systems sufficient enough to survive the shifts happening now.
