This is a serious question: How many innocents did the British kill in their conquests?

Undoubtedly, some. It is impossible to have a war without some innocents being killed.

There is also the question of how innocence is defined.

But most conquerers were far worse than the British. The British, as least, had a Christian culture, where killing innocents was looked down on.

It was not like the Muslim or Mongol cultures, where killing innocents was either encouraged, or considered entertainment.
