After you sue them, we can start a car company to crank these out to meet the requirements:

“emission goals”

The press always acts as if all “goals” were inscribed in stone and handed down by God directly to Moses. The truth is they set arbitrary and meaningless goals devoid of all commercial, market, technical or feasibility realities.

These government idiots dictate “So Let It Be Written, So Let It Be Done” with the absolute certainty of Pharaoh Ramses II.

This is NOT why we created the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

This is why so many of us absolutely hate our government.

Yeah, but we move that serious pollution to very poor countries on the other side of the world. Out of sight, out of mind. It’s what enables all of their virtue signaling.

Well, making ‘em all drive electrics is one way to make ‘em see how much of a major failure they are.

I think this will save money as all the government workers will be sitting on the side of the road with their electric lemons.

Also how is a police car going to chase you when it is sitting at a recharging station.

If Biduhn is serious he will immediately have all the presidential limos electric. Along with the Secret Service, the FBI, the DEA, and EVERY gdman government vehicle.

Let’s see how long that lasts.

To make it go away, the Republicans, when they take the House and Senate, should provide funding to departments and agencies of the gov’t for only EV’s (not hybrids) for gov’t use. Include the DOJ, FBI, IRS, BLM, Interior, Transportation, Energy, President, etc. and do away with the GSA motorpool for maintenance and service. Make them service and charge their own vehicles.

Without government subsidies/support, the EV industry would crash.

EVs are an essential element in the rat’s goal of impoverishing then eliminating the middle-class.

Actually the old batteries are going to be quite the problem here as far as chemical pollution. Also when they catch fire then they cause huge environmental chemical damage. Compare a possible gas explosion to a battery fire. Not even close.

Nope. What’ll happen is the same thing that happened with cardboard, metal and plastic waste. Those recycled batteries will get shipped to India, Malaysia, Philippines, and China for “reprocessing” where they don’t give a fig about the environment. There’s no way you can afford a low-value reprocessing plant in the USA.

Wonder how many catalytic converter thieves are licking their chops at stealing charging station cables and other copper components? Easy pickings….

“Meeting federal emissions goals may require federal agencies to acquire about 30,000 emissions-free vehicles per year and about 25 times the current number of charging ports”

Or changing the goals. I mean, why not? They change the meanings of words to make things look better.

Actually there will be LOTS of money made recycling batteries because the govt is going to mandate and subsidize it. One of Musk's former consigliere's is building a battery recycling empire. Redwood Materials.
