Tommy Lee Jones and Al Gore were college roommates at Harvard.
I remember reading that Jones said Al Gore was stoned the entire four years at Harvard. Said in jest but I bet a lot of truth was in that statement. Consider the rest of Al Gore’s academic career. Asked to leave law school on the account of poor academic performance**. Later Gore flunked out of seminary. Given that, It’s likely his amateur recreational pharmacological hobby continued. I wonder if it continued through his Congressional, Senate & VP career? Look at what he says and does now, I think the answer is ‘yes’!
** Note “asked to leave” and flunked out is somehow different here. I don’t know how but it is Tennessee! :)
Also, I may have it backwards as to which academic institution he “flunked out” vs “asked to leave”.
