I can’t think of a large red city...
Except for a handful it’s not really states it’s more urban versus rural
Is Georgia red or blue?
How do we decide?
That is the real answer to the problems we have faced recently...
They are like two different countries, aren’t they?
This more about about Blue cities against the states they are in.
The reason for the electroal college was to twart big city tyranny at the Federal level. States don’t have such a mechanism, which is why New york city rules New york state, Chicago rules Illonis, Atlanta rules Georgia, Los Angeles runs CA, et al.
City states or automous regions might be a better way to go. So we govern ouselves as we see fit not how some New Yorker city citizen thinks how Alaska resources shall be developed.
Problem is Democrats can’t stand the though of personal freedoms or responsibility.
The urban core of every southern city is just as liberal as everywhere else
We need to separate by red states and blue states
Blue states are usually a big blue megapolis, and a lot of red counties.
“The DemoMarxist is a small minority.”
Yes, but they have the unending will, reach and money. We’re the “weak sister” they can abuse and get away with it.
Let the cities of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Washington D.C., Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Jose, Dallas and Austin be their own country, with their own taxing authority and let everyone else do their own thing.
Call them autonomous cities.
“Solutions” like this don’t work. There are many states that are close to 50/50. There were dark blue states - like West Virginia - that are now red. There were purple states - like Florida - that are now red. And there are states that used to be reliably red - like Arizona and Virginia - that are going blue. The answer is to make the case to turn the state red like DeSantis did in Florida.
I agree with MTG. Leftism is like a cancer that spreads until it consumes the entire body. It can’t be cured so it has to be neutralized. With a red state/blue state separation, we would be saying, “You can’t spread beyond your state. Come no further!”
Not sure what the point is of her tweet. This is her 2nd term. She has more power and influence. Time to show more gravitas as well.
True, and the urbanites have the wealth.
A nation made up of our red regions would have a third rate economy.
Not sure this is a well-thought-out proposal. Secession is no light matter.
Im tired of the never ending debate. The left has made it plenty obvious that they do not want to coexist with us conservatives. Im ready to act. Id like to get this done while i still have some productive years to contribute.
This is true.
Cities from one state could join cities from other states. And be e gone
Like Philly and NYC.
Or, Chicago and Detroit.
;+)
Reminds me of this song. Not played on mainstream country staions. It is about Dallas.
Well the city’s so big nobody knows where it starts or where it ends. If you’ve got the money, you can buy you up a lot of friends. Cause they’ll take anybody who drives a nice car, got a place just for you up in Highland Park
If I don’t ever go there, it’ll be all right with me
Cause I don’t live in Dallas, I live in Texas
Where we ain’t got no hockey and no damn metroplexes
I don’t live in Dallas, I live in Texas
And if I don’t ever go there it’ll be all right with me
Now Benny Hinn comes on Sundays, everybody’s gonna go sing along cause they can’t start their football till all wide recievers post bond
You’re a whole bunch of yuppies with nothin to do, you keep Isuzu in business, we all know it’s true I’d like to sell you to Oklahoma if they could only afford you
Cause I don’t live in Dallas, I live in Texas
Where we ain’t got no hockey and no damn metroplexes
I don’t live in Dallas, I live in Texas
And if I don’t ever go there it’ll be all right with me
I don’t ever go there and it’s all right with me
Kind of like the North v. South in 1860s.
It will be metros vs countryside.
