States had the ability to blunt the dictatorship of urban areas over their states until 1964, Reynolds v. Sims. Dictatorship of the Warren Court.

It’s people still loyal to our former republic vs people loyal to Deep State.

Not a very good comparison. If one wanted to leave East Germany or North Korea, you’ve risked being gunned down.
We might not begin so viciously if we ‘divorced’; but we’ve already got politicians suggesting penalties for leaving blue states.
