IMO the counties that comprise a state should be able to vote to eliminate a city from their state....i.e. Chicago/Cook County
It’s a legitimate way for a state to save itself from ruination at the hands of a rogue welfare city gone wild!
Lately the red states have been setting up to use gold and silver (God’s own money) as legal tender... the start of secession IMO...
I propose renaming the remaining counties of lesser Oregon as
“Woebegon.”
China has already bought and paid for it. I doubt they would give it to the Russians.

There are just so many Supreme Court decisions that have profoundly damaged this experiment in self-rule over the decades and this is just ONE of them - and people are generally unaware how that happened They know things are completely FUBAR, but they don’t know why.
The problem with that, Congress would have to approve a new state. If you think they would agree to that . . .

I may have confused the states involved. It was some time ago I saw something about that.
