I had a crime done against my property a couple of years ago, ported the video from the door camera into my phone and went right over to the police station, and the popo showed up at the perp's house in an hour.

I had similar - a number of garden statues were stolen from my front yard - my neighbor had a Ring camera that caught the perp’s car - make, model and license plate, which the cops looked up immediately (it’s not a misdemeanor where I live, Thank God).
Cops asked if I’d be willing to prosecute - YES. They went to the perps house and told him to return the statues immediately or he would be arrested. I had the statues back within hours.
Statues were moved to the back yard - neighbors have asked me to return them to the front yard, Hard NO.
Thieves have such nerve!
