I think if the PM of Israel had stated, for whatever reason, the Israeli’s were short of rifles and asked for donations of AR-15 in 5.56 in good condition, with between a 14.5 and 16 inch barrel and 100 rounds of ammunition; there would be 1 million rifles and 100 million rounds of ammunition headed to Israel right now.
Lots of people have inexpensive but reliable AR’s is new or nearly new condition they could part with.
And each should have have a card that say’s, “The next time a left-wing Jew says American Christians are antisemites, remember it was American Christians that gave you a rifle when you were attacked. Not the ADL.”
Would they dump them in the ocean afterwards like the Brits did post WW2?

Right now, the Israeli government ought to procure a sufficient number of handguns to equip all adult citizens, with training.
Nothing wrong with anyone opting for a rifle instead, either.

I wouldn’t be surprised if newly qualified Israelis would be happy to make the purchase themselves. Of course that would include Arab Israelis.
One wouldn’t be surprised at that either. Israel needs a 2A equivalent.

One can only imagine the number of groups, internal and external who would love to do to the United States what was done to Israel if we ever allow similar gun control laws to take effect.

Nope. The restrictions have been “relaxed” but they are still an utter farce. Very few will ever have guns in Israel. Self defense is not allowed.
I love handguans very much...have a concealed carry license,..but an expert trainer told our class “a handguun is just something you use on your way to grab your rifle”.
Cameras on the border wall with public access and rifles and handguns with lots of ammo for every Israeli.
But what %age of the 18% are HAMAS?
