Yes. As I understand his comment, he’s saying he spent time an Israeli prison. Many, perhaps most, of the inmates were also Hamas members. While in prison, some would torture and/or kill other members (presumably because they were either suspected of cooperating with the Israelis, or they were deemed to not be sufficiently committed to the cause).
