I always knew Putin was a POS. I didn't know he supported Hamas. But I suppose once you're a globalist opposed to one country having sovereign borders, you're opposed to them all.

Russia has always been full of crap.
The Soviet Union, oops sorry, Russia seems unaware that Hamas, and thus the inhabitants of Gaza, are not wanted anywhere else in the Muslim World. From personal experience, I believe that Egypt would be pleased as arak to see Gazans wiped from the face of the earth.
I agree that, “Israel won’t achieve security by decapitating Hamas”, but it does mean that one front is quiet for a long time. Israel has no choice. The problem is, as Israel is depleted in arms, personnel, and economically, THAT is likely when Iran, first through its proxies like Hezbollah, Syria, Lebanon, then quite possibly Iran itself, will attack. The only option is for the IDF to lay an almost Biblical beat down on Hamass, so that the others are fearful of what Israel might do to them.
As much as the leaders of Saudi Arabia and Egypt want peace with Israel, they have a VERY restive populace, so they likely won’t offer assistance to Israel, purely out of a desire for self preservation.
In the end, Israel’s survival is purely in the hands of the Almighty.
Unlike our government Russia will actually try to win a war rather that string it out for enriching the military industrial complex only to surrender after $ trillions are wasted.
Russia should invite the “Palestinians” to move to Moscow. Russia has plenty of land and plenty of mosques.
Not an evaluation of the claim directly - but a summary assumption: If Russia/Putin says it -I don’t believe it.
And considering Putin has lauded Hamas and the Palestinian terrorists... I say I pray Israel kills ever single Hamas member, fighter, and supporter.
The lesson here is not to drown Gaza in blood and not decapitate Hamas in an affect to accomplish peace, but do it to accomplish justice.
The answer for peace is:
2 Chronicles 7:14, “…if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
That goes for all nations.
