Getting ready to go to the dentist for my teeth cleaning this morning. We did get to go to the lake for the very first time in 4 days. Here are the pics.

Sounds like a typical non-pay week. Always corrections to deal with on Thursday and Friday.
You ended up a couple of degrees colder in the end. It was -3 when I went to bed at 5:00. We both had beautiful sunny days. It was hard to look out the windows with the snow blazing on the snow. Not something we’re used to down here. LOL

Yes, that is a great relief that the weather will be clear and rather warm. I’m hoping to get up at about 7:30 and get going by 9:30. That way we can get there way before dark sets in. I don’t do well after dark.
I’m looking forward to seeing the kids. And Piper’s birthday is this coming Monday. We haven’t gotten a chance to spend many birthdays with her. The rest of the reason we’re going?....not looking forward to it.
Have things warmed up at all there yet? Is the snow melted? Hope so!
The warmth is a plus but that it’ll be dry rather than raining is what counts.
Neat that Piper’s birthday is Monday and you’ll get to spend it with her. One positive to the trip.

It got up to 22 this afternoon but that’s not exactly warm. Better than the 16 yesterday, though, and there was no wind.
7 inches of snow doesn’t disappear overnight and we need temps a LOT warmer to get rid of this stuff. Might get rid of a little tomorrow but the forecast has me uneasy. It’s supposed to get JUST above freezing in the afternoon but we’ll have sleet before then. Then rain though the afternoon.
It has to work out perfectly as far as the timing. Otherwise we could have an ice storm and that’s where power outages can come into play. DON’T want that because the temps will stay below freezing Friday through the weekend.
It’s going to be an unnerving day.
Freezing here. Cold spell lasting for a few more days. Probably nothing, though, compared to Alaska.
I’m going to take great care NOT to get sick this time. LOL! That was a total bummer and kept me from seeing my brother one last time. :(
It sounds like y’all are just going from bad to worse. Unnerving is a good description when you’re talking about ice and power lines! EEK!

Yeah, getting sick the last time you were down there really ruined things as far as seeing your brother. Really rotten timing. :-(
I pray there’ll just be scattered light showers to begin with so we won’t get much icy stuff. The real preference is NO precip until after the temps go up. We’re supposed to be in a warm pocket and not drop below freezing until the wee hours Friday morning. If it works out that way, powerlines and trees will have time to dry off and not be coated with ice.
Too many “ifs” as to how things go and no one likes that.

I think we have one more nice day tomorrow then we'll see what happens. As long as we stay above freezing, we'll keep doing lake trips.
Well, I hope your “ifs” are the right ones to keep the ice away. Ice is never a good thing, weather-wise.
We’re doing another plunge on Friday, too. Not like yours, but the nighttime temps could freeze the kitties’ water again, and I won’t be able to deal with it. I guess they’ll find a way. Poor babies.
Ok. I know it’s early, but it’s going to be a long day with no nap tomorrow, so I guess I should go get some sleep. I’ll try to get on tomorrow night if nothing else is going on. See ya then!
Yep, it’s no fun being stuck at home all the time. I’ve been stuck this week due to the snow we got and the road I live on having too many hills.
Glad y’all were able to break free for a little while. It’ll be nice when this frigid blast moves out so you can get out regularly again.
I hope they’re the right ones too! LOL That warm pocket needs to move up quickly tomorrow. It’s sure not close right now since it’s 13 degrees. Better than last night at this time when it was zero though.
I hope it doesn’t get below freezing while you’re gone. Gonna make it rough for the kitties with their water freezing.
