I met Radu and was immediately jealous of her husband. Free Republic folks are the best people, period. That was at a function for then Tennessee Rep Marsha Blackburn - who was gracious, civil, strait-forward and personal.

There are some here who would flush her away without anyone better to take her place, because of caving to the electoral steal, while I still want to know what threat was made to make that happen.

No “memory hole” here - we need to know and why.

Hey there, Kathy.

Yes, a little rain has come through today. We’re supposed to get a good hit tomorrow, early, then another lull, then more rain, and lulls through Monday. As the weathergal put it, persistent intermittent rain through the weekend. We’ll take all we can get. We aren’t quite out of drought conditions but we’re almost there.

I’m glad it didn’t snow there today. You don’t need it! Spring thaw is already going to be a nightmare.
You don’t need to get above freezing right now either. The streets and all other surfaces will be glazed with ice every morning. Keep those spikies handy for when you have to s tep outside.

No real plans here, either, though I’ll probably go to my sister’s apt. Sunday to help her go through more stuff. She’s a hoarder and after several years of working on her, I’ve FINALLY gotten her to start tossing stuff! Several bags have gone to the dumpster and I hauled some boxes of decent stuff to a thrift store. Gotta keep her going while there’s some momentum. LOL

I agree. I want to know what threat was made to Marsha too. I know a lot of folks who want to know.

I’ll never forget when we first met. It was to counter-protest Code Pink in downtown Nashville with a few others. We were in front of the Frist Art Museum. Not long afterwards, Hubby and I met up with you and wolicy ponk at Ft. Campbell to welcome home a planeload of the 101st returning from Iraq.

Those were the days. There’s nothing like getting together with other FReepers.

Yes, it was in the mid-60s today and will be tomorrow. Sunday, the high is supposed to be only 48. That’s revised down from the low 50s. I’m thinking it’s going to involve some wind, so that’s not fun.

Looks like we’re still very close in temp. Are y’all still supposed to get some rain this weekend? Fingers crossed that you do! One of us should anyhow. LOL!
