Also, running the RNC isn’t at all like running an entire state.

I am not as big a fan of nepotism as you might think whether the dynasty is Bush, Clinton, Obama, DeSantis or some other name well known on television.
Heading the RNC in these perilous times should probably be one of the jobs where the hire is based on ability and merit. Governor of Florida: same thing.
However, for all I know the lady married to the son of the father may have been the brain behind the selection of Herschel Walker to run for the Senate from Georgia during the 2022 red wave.
