If I was Trump I would refuse to be briefed at all by them.
There is a risk before (and after) the election that they’ll say he leaked some information he should not have.
If they want to give him newspaper clippings (and translations) that’s OK.

California is just beyond salvaging at this point.
Schiff being the democrat, is almost certainly going to win election easily to the Senate. Not because he’s a capable man, but because he’s a democrat in California.
Republicans TOTAL pulled in only 25% of the primary, and Dems got the remaining 75%...
If you assume all gop vote in primary would go to Garvey, that would put Garvey and Schiff about equal, as Schiff got 25% or so of the primary vote.
So, for Garvey to win, he’d have to convince more than half of the folks who chose a democrat who didn’t vote for Schiff to vote for him.
Now state level primaries are Open, so not everyone who voted for a democrat or any Republican is necessarily a member of said party, but still convincing more than 50% of voters who chose democrats other than Schiff, (and at least 1 that got 18% of the vote was a very very far left democrat) to vote for Garvey is a herculean task.
Pretty safe to say most folks who voted for Porter, aren’t likely to vote for a Republican ever, though, if you could find a way to play the “it was rigged” that Porter herself stated, and play the protest vote against Schiff in the General you might be able to crack that block... IE yea we don’t care for Porter, but we are NOT going to reward Schiff. She got 18% so without doing something to fracture that block, Schiff’s presumabley at 43% to start compared to Porters 25.
Meaning he’d have to win over the remaing 32% of voters more than 3 to 1 to win.
Watching their acceptance speeches, Garvey clearly was head and shoulders above Schiff, just by their speech performance alone, Garvey should be topping Schiff by a large margin, but we all know that’s not how this game works.

I’m guessing our ‘intelligence services’ are a trillion dollar total waste of money. That they’re corrupt. Infiltrated. Compromised. On day one, I’d just announce a 25-percent cut in fed-intel folks across the board. Then I’d let them know...in 12 months...if I detect bogus intel....I’ll cut another 25-percent in billets. If I were King for a day, EVERY candidate for national office should have to pass the FBI Secret clearance Background Investigation protocol.
I had to be investigated by the FBI just to get admitted to the US Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School so I could become a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy back in 1964!
Why should CongressCritters not have to pass the same Background Investigation?
He should simply state that there is no point to the briefings: it’s clear the intelligence community cannot be trusted, and must be replaced. And have all them old spooks clearances revoked.
