All federally funded social programs, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, etc. need to phased out.
They’re unsustainable and it’s that simple. I said PHASED OUT and yes I get SS and Medicare.
They’re right up there with all the three letter agencies that need to be dissolved. None of which is the governments business.

Social Security is being completely abused and destroyed by fake disabled people. It is being gutted from within and not being used for the purpose it was meant for. That needs to change ASAP
This reminds me of the days of the Clinton impeachment trials when Ken Starr would grant interviews to lefties. In Starr’s mind, he most likely thought if he could just explain the facts, then the ‘journalists’ would understand the case. He believed their one-sided reporting was due to ignorance and not bias.
Raising taxes or cutting spending are very problematical for politicians and a majority of their constituents. Means testing, however, appears to be the inevitable solution to buy time, as we steadily slide deeper into socialism.
Serious entitlement reforms must include privatization, but there are lots of other things that can be done that would work. All possible solutions must be discussed fully. All levels of government must be made smaller, ASAP.
It has been that way as long as I can remember. Since the 1970s I remember welfare families being convinced that if a Republican got elected, it would be taken away from them.
Ummm, thinking you can fix the trillions of dollars in SS unfunded liabilities only by going after waste fraud and abuse is laughable. But then again, it's something politicians typically say to mollify their base.

Prior to “Global Warming/Climate Change/Climate Crisis”, SS was the largest financial scam in recorded history. The abuse of the system is the reason it’s in bad shape. LBJ and the democrats gave it a fatal dose of politicalization when they moved it into the general budget in order to hide the true costs of the Vietnam War, The Great Society, & The War On Poverty, all of which were dismal failures.

Many confuse entitlement with welfare, or other government taxpayer handouts, that’s incorrect.
You paid into SS, therefore, you are “entitled” to a return on your investment. SS is an entitlement.
