And thanks to the free traitors, we’re the ones paying for it.

The CCP will attempt to launch 26,000 satellites. They just have to remember to check the fuel levels and top off all that was used to heat tea and cook rice.

“...appear to be copying some of SpaceX tech....”

These are Chinese. It’s what they do. They steal plans and copy the product. Chinese (and Indians too) NEVER invent things out of thin air, they can ONLY copy from what someone else invented.

I see this all the time in the software development world. Is it any wonder that Microsoft has not invented anything good in a long time. It’s filled with H1-B hacks. /spit

It won’t be long before they will need traffic lights up there.

plans of launching some 26,000 satellites

Holy Molee - is there enough space for all that and Space X in the same low earth orbit?

SpaceX launches somewhere over 80% of tonnage into orbit and are widening their lead. Sheer bluff by the Chinese.

So much space junk up there.
They’ll start crashing into each other and/or breaking down and be landing on our heads.

Maybe AI can honestly calculate a domino effect that would cause a satellite constellation crisis.

Most of them are fine. New Zealand, maybe we should sell them to China.

Australia got crazy for a moment but for most part they're solid.

They appear to be copying some of SpaceX tech.

The Chinese copy everything! They've been advertising mockups of plans to build large rockets, and they amazingly look just like SpaceX Starships and boosters. Of course, the Chinese say it's homegrown technology. Sure, right; of course not. They will always be steps behind SpaceX, because they can't compete with the brilliance of SpaceX engineers who create solutions to problems.

All the Chinese do is wait and then copy. This extends to all manufacturing. For instance, cars. The Chinese cars are copies of western manufactured cars to the extent that body parts are interchangeable.

We should launch 134,000 satellites in response.

That could happen, once Elon Musk uses Starship to send factory components and TeslaBots to the Moon, and builds factories on the Moon. Then it is a simple thing to launch satellites from the Moon to Earth orbit. It takes a lot of energy to send tonnage to space from Earth, might as well send factory components from Earth and use Moon materials to build the satellites.

Outer Space is vast. Most people cannot comprehend how much space there is between objects. Plenty of space between satellites.

Having said that, back in the beginning days of motorized automobiles when there were only a few cars in the United States, cars collided with each other. Seemingly like magnets attracted to each other.
