Tech millionaire for a daddy?
I wonder when they say in the past year if they mean the last 12 months or since the start of 2024. If the start of 2024 then it’s insane to think he totaled 3 cars in 3 months
“jones was badly hurt” Good, now somebody finish the spoiled little sob off. Damaged or worthless goods. NO need for him. Third car destroyed in a year. Who is paying besides the Mother driving the van and the poor children that will never have another day’s life. Snuffed out by a stupid spoiled kid.
Now that I’ve a little more time to think about it, 40 years is not enough time in prison. Life without parole is more appropriate.
This was the 3rd car Jones had totaled in a crash due to speeding in less than a year, according to the charging documents.
“wrecks caused by speeding”
The kid caused the wrecks, not the speed. This is the same stupid reasoning as “gun violence”.
I have seen a few articles about this, the daily mail one had slightly more info.
The Audi a4 and s4 are surprisingly fast, and yes I have done some tests against one of older turbo cars, only for research on 0-60 times of newer cars.
I wonder what kind of SSri drugs the whole family must be on, and what additional drugs he was on.
Also who his apparently outstanding atty was in first two reckless driving cases
(Sigh)
I know, right? Had actual stores called Buster Brown.
Was 2015 Audi. Not a new one. You can get one for 15-19k
He had 2 other wrecks in 11 months so now three in under a year.
Should have sent him to Ukraine to expend his imagined invicibility.
It’s time that we treat these crazy-ass drivers without a care in the world as cold blooded murderers, which is what they are.
We had a wealthy young entitled kid who killed four college girls walking along a road in Malibu and he was doing 100+mph. Another case recently was an ICU nurse of all people hightailing it at 130 mph in a large Mercedes who killed six people instantly blowing thru a red light.
Life without parole.
Not the first, won’t be the last, though this guy was 36. Almost exactly 28 years ago in Denver:
“A rich man’s penchant for flashy cars led police to his house in the investigation of a hit-and-run accident that killed a newspaper columnist. Officers found Spicer Breeden dead in his basement.
Breeden, an heir to one of Colorado’s wealthiest and most prominent families, shot himself in the head, police said.”
Oops, forgot this part of my comment above:
“Breeden, 36, owned a 1995 BMW 540i Sport matching the description of the one that was traveling about 100 mph when it ran Rocky Mountain News columnist Greg Lopez off the road Sunday night.”
I guess I was just caught off guard with all the “rich” bashing here in FR.
Kids are kids and do stupid things, which is why car insurance for teenage boys costs so much. They don’t charge less to poor teenage boys.
In most states if an 18year old totals 2cars in a year driving privileges would be revoked.
I would hope most parents would not help child get another car. (to be fair we don’t know they did.)
We don’t give a poor, black kid, who crashes a stolen car and kills someone that much time. If the car is stolen, isn’t that worse than the driver being rich?
Doubt the “rich” part seeing as how he graduated from Kentwood.
That’s true, but the family money will buy him out prison time.
