Gee I remember after the Afghanistan disaster Biden tried to save face by SLAUGHTERING a father and his 7 children all to make himself look good, he droned them..this father and his kids had NOTHING to do with terrorism but Biden killed them so he could go on TV and claim he killed the bad guys..no one batted an eye

Same thing with black communities that are crime-ridden, yet no one will step forward to provide any information to the police on homicides, robberies, drug sellers, etc. They don't want to cooperate to try to clean up their own streets, then they get what they deserve.
In Medieval England, there were no police, and laws fined people who didn't report crimes. The person or persons who had seen the crime, or been the victim, was required to raise a "Hue and Cry" in the village, to get assistance from the villagers, in order to pursue the criminal and capture him if possible. Anyone who had heard the cry, and didn't respond, were fined. Even whole villages could be fined. Same thing with finding dead bodies. If you found one, and didn't report it, but word got out that you had, you could get into big trouble. If you found a body, and reported it, but then didn't show up to the inquest to tell your story, you were fined or worse.
Another law that came later in England, was that if you were traveling on a highway, and were robbed, you had the right to mandatory recompense from the district you were traveling in, unless they found the perpetrator before 40 days had expired.
How can you even consider letting up when Hamas continues to hold hostages?!
