Russia's GDP grows 7.7% y/y in February
April 03, 2024
April 3 (Reuters) - Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 7.7% year-on-year in February, compared with a 4.6% annual rise recorded in the previous month, the economy ministry said on Wednesday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly played down the hit from Western sanctions and played up the fact that Russia's economy expanded faster last year, with GDP growth of 3.6%, than any of the Group of Seven nations largely responsible for sanctions.
It's a global market, so that statement is false (and so obviously false that anyone 1 week into a basic economics class should be able to clearly explain it).
I suppose the gist of this is that supposedly, the Russian economy will only beat the US/NATO economy by 2 percentage points instead of 3 in the next quarter...
You recite all the Xiden lies.
Maybe it be so!
