Before Mc Connell. there was R senate leader Dick Lugar. who said his goats were smart enough to climb over a wall. But I today Mayorkas would leave the gates open and set up “asylum processing” rooms within a wall.

“There is a third class of politicians with an R by their name...”

I understand your frustration with a few of the rinos like the ones you mentioned. The only problem to me is if the other conservatives are not going to support conservative issues, are they any different than the liberals? And for years the republicans have folded so many times when they could have taken way from the liberal gains it appears they don’t want to represent the conservative base out here. And even though they have the size, money, and, sans Trump, the capacity, they just turn their heads and float on to the next pay raise session. And then they had Trump and not only didn’t support him, they helped run him out of office.

By some standards, Trump is not a "conservative." But he has a hell of a record being right. Trump did arrange for defensive weapons for Ukraine, and while he was in the WH Russia did not invade. Under Biden, looks like we would pay not only for defensive weapons, but also for Ukraine pensions forever. And trillions for "climate change." Anyway, I would not necessarily be opposed to reasonable military aid, but we may be past the point of no return on foreign spending, as well as domestic spending. And then there is the money laundering.
