DeSantis: Florida ‘will not comply’ with new Biden Title IX rules

Many years ago, as young man, I was a Peace Corps trainee scheduled to go to Afghanistan. Since Afghans, especially high-placed Afghans, were known to dabble in homosexual acts, we were questioned by a psychiatrist as to how to decline such an offer. This was long-enough ago that homosexual sex was considered a bad thing.

Anyway, after everyone hemmed and hawed about the correct and polite answer, the psychiatrist gave it: “No”. No explanation, just ‘No’. We tend to forget how powerful that little word is, if we dare to use it.

DeSantis just said it and other governors have to say it too.

Every day I give thanks I live in Florida and have Desantis as my governor. DeSantis has been a consistent conservative, even when he was in Congress and started the Freedom Caucus. His actions, not just his words tell us who he is and that he is for real.

I don’t think he is fundamentally flawed, in fact quite the opposite. What I do think is he was not wise enough to stay out of the clutches of the GOP donor class. Now back in Florida, away from the Washington pigs he is back to doing good works and I hope he is wiser for the experience.
